He has been very good when coming on as a sub for some time now.

What do you mean, our 3rd goal came from a free kick that should have never been, Ozil clearly handballed it. That's not defending that's attacking.

He's a squad player and should have never been used as anything more, getting Lacazette is great news as it means less game time for him and probably just sub appearances which is when he's most effective. Lacazette will get us goals as well, he's got a real eye for goal.

I'd agree if we scored directly from the handball but we didn't. We won a corner and they had plenty of time to reset and defend the set piece properly.

Even so, we got four goals because of that handball, so you can't say it didn't have a massive influence on the outcome. Couple that with Pires' dive which stopped Portsmouth finding a cure for cancer and I think it proves Rooney is probably the best striker in the world.

Thing is if Leicester had got a free none of that would have happened and we woulnd't have got a corner in the 1st place, so no goal would have occured.
