To stay match fit, there's a lot of good players unattached right now playing for non league teams, so I still can't see how bad of an idea it really is.

if he is having to stay match fit by playing for a non league side then it says it all. not even league 2 clubs want him. hes 34 and has gone from world cup to non league and you are wanting to sign him? its just idiotic

While I can appreciate Chimbondas passion for the game, I never really rated him when he was at his best at Wigan/spuds and he's worse than that now.

Sounds like he plays for a non-league side just so he can continue playing. I agree, good luck to him. And Santos is the worst footballer I have ever seen in my life and I'm being 100% serious about that. The very worst. We paid money for that guy and paid him wages, which is a complete disgrace. I'd take Chimbonda over him any day. Not saying we should do it but the stupidest thing I ever read was Santos is starting for Arsenal.

We could probably get Diarra on the cheap, now the billionaire wants out of anzhi and most of their players are for sale.... Worth it? He did quite well for Madrid, but havent seen him play in the russian league.
