I really hope to see an attacking midfielder arrive, I don't think Ramsey is ready yet to be relied on week in week out. Takes him a while to get into games and I think it would be in his best interests if he had a bit of guidance and competition.

I'm not sure of anything
The bit about having lots of players out who are top class seems like a bit of a get out clause to me, he's clearly not convinced anyone will be coming in. There's only 6 days left as well, by now he should know whether players will come in or not, the fact he doesn't suggests there's nothing in anywhere near completion.

Lille president Michel Seydoux has told Arsenal it would take an amount twice of what they sold Samir Nasri to Manchester City for to land their star player Eden Hazard.
Nasri completed his move from the North London club to City for a transfer fee believed to be around €28million on Wednesday and it is anticipated that manager Arsene Wenger will use the funds to bolster his squad before the summer transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
With UEFA Champions League football secured for this season thanks to a play-off victory against Udinese, Arsenal can now go about the process of rebuilding their squad following the recent departures of Nasri as well as skipper Cesc Fabregas.
However, Ligue 1 champions Lille have wasted no time in letting Wenger know that reported interest in their 20-year-old attacking midfielder is going to cost them.
"When you see someone like Nasri switching clubs for 28 million euros although he only had one year left on his contract, I'd say that Eden is worth at least twice that much," Seydoux told RMC.
"We are not selling any players. The team is built around Eden and we count on him. Nobody has contacted me about him, so there's no reason to think that he will not be with us on September 1."
Both sides have already done business together this summer, with Wenger snapping up Gervinho from the French side.
Hazard has a contract with Lille until the summer of 2015.
No chance of Hazard.
They say he is not for sale (effectively) an awful lot.
