Finally a wicket! Broad gets Samuels for 86.
222-5. Nelson.
291-6, Chanderpaul given out lbw Swann. He has gone to a review. :(
And it stays out! Chanderpaul goes for 91.
265-6 at tea. Windies lead by 110.
Sammy has had enough and is going village style.
307-7, Sammy went for 37 from 47. What a mentalist.
Broad has ten wickets in the match.
313-8, Broad gets 11-for.
Roach goes.
325-9, Anderson gets Ramdin for 43.
345 all out. Swann bowls Gabriel.
England have a chase of 191 to win.
1-1, Roach gets Strauss.
Strauss had his blip and is back to normal now.
I must tell you as well you know that this is a very interesting game.
Anderson is in.
I hate teams playing the nightwatchman.
And that's why. Anderson absolutely pubs a leading edge over all of the slips four four. It was a no-ball though, thankfully.
Another no ball.
Roach.
10-2, Anderson goes. :haha:
Well the thing is that Swann and Broad count as batsmen. Lower order. So you can't send them in. I used to see the point in it but now I'm not a fan of the nightwatchman.
Speaking of village - I didn't even manage a Sammy. We was bowled out for 80 odd. I scored 7 (I think) before nicking one from this 'Davies' kid - supposed to be county level. He was rapid - he must've clocked in at 80 at least. And I was fully bricking it. They knocked the runs off easy.
Huge appeal from the Windies on lbw for Trott. Gone to review.
Umpire's call so Trott stays in. Lucky.
I wouldn't send any of them in, doesn't make any sense. If your main batsmen are going to struggle in the dimming light then in theory the tailenders will have an even harder time.
And you're a disgrace to villagers everywere. Sammy was having a whale of a time today.
10-2 at the close of play.
181 needed tomorrow.
Get the heavy rollers out tomorrow morning. Should be fine. Losing Trott would've made it tres interessant.
35-3, Roach got Trott for 13 a few minutes ago.
57-4, KP you twat.
A game it becomes
Every single time England have a simple chase, the batsmen get giddy and try to play ridiculous shots.
Sammy you villager. :haha:
Collision between he and Cook.
50 for Cook.
131-4 at lunch.
50 for Bell.
21 runs needed to win.
Three needed to win.
189-5, Cook goes for 79. Collapse is still on.
Two runs needed.
Top knock from cook. Easily better a standard first innings hundred given the circumstances.
Agreed. Strauss.
England win by five wickets!
Yay.
Just watching the post-match discussion that I recorded I have come to one conclusion:
Whispering Death is awesome.
Holding.
