Junior Hoilett is definitely worth a punt on. If we use Cahill's £7m as a barometer, we could probably get him for around the £5m mark i would imagine, taking into account he's a) less established and b) not English.
Junior Toilet?
Hmm
Arsenal have officially put a bid on for Matias Suarez, Pasion de Multitudes exclusively told you long ago about this - JavierPerez108
according to most journos, this guy is always right. dont know much about this player except he scored a 7 goals for anderlecht in EL this year
Hoilett is as good as Gervinho in terms of taking on players.
Only his end product is actually worse.
Yeah, know nothing about Matias Suarez apart from some Belgian football fans on Twitter and Youtube videos. Sounds like it'd be a gamble and he's only burst into prominence in the last half-season. But he looks like he can play wide and take players on and 14 goals and 10 assists so far this season is impressive in any league, even for Belgium.
£10m doesn't seem too bad relative to some other sums paid for strikers these days.
Perhaps this is the alternative to Podolski, who doesn't want to jeopardise his Euro spot?
If Chamakh isn't being sold then I can't see how we'll be signing anybody. Why would we sign another striker with Chamakh and Park still at the club? I'm afraid Henry for a couple of months is all we'll see in this transfer window. Of course the fact it's Henry is a huge distraction which will probably get the board through to summer when they can think up another excuse.
Well, you're more than likely right.
The only way we get a striker in January is if we can a) shift Arshavin b) replace him and c) replace him with a player who can play up front effectively as well as outwide (and/or in the center). Podolski, in theory, is such a player but I don't think we'll be getting him unless a few things fall into place.
I would be more hopefuly we'd sign an experienced striker in the summer when Chamakh leaves. If Park really tears it up in the second half of the season or if Campbell shows enough promise this might never happen anyway. But at least we'd be rid of Chamakh and that at least would be pleasing.
Go for Huddersfield's Jordan Rhodes, scored 22 in 21 league one games. 'Arry's cronies are scouting him atm.
Park is not going to get a chance and neither is oxo. We will have to deal with watching players like theo, benayoun tear us a new hole.
