Potentially some great news round the corner:

The Premier League is in danger of losing a fourth Champions League spot in the 2017-18 season if poor European performances continue this season.
English teams have not reached the Champions League quarter-finals in two of the past three seasons.
New co-efficient rankings, calculated over a five-year period, show England are third, behind Spain and Germany.
Italy are fourth, four points behind England. The top three ranked countries receive four Champions League places.
Performances in both Uefa competitions - Champions League and Europa League - are taken into consideration for the rankings with more points awarded in the elite competition (see tables at bottom of this page).
Points are awarded for qualifying for the group stages and then for each knockout round negotiated.
Four English teams have qualified for the group stages of this season's Champions League, against just two from Italy, thus earning more bonus points.
However, if last season's results were repeated - Juventus reached the Champions League final with Napoli and Fiorentina reaching the Europa league semi-finals - then Italy would jump ahead of England.
There are two English teams in the Europa League and three from Italy.
The 2017-18 season will be the first where the 2010-11 season drops out of the reckoning.
That season saw Manchester United reach the Champions League final, where they were beaten by Barcelona in Rome, while Tottenham and Chelsea made the quarter-finals.
Hope this happens, then 4th place can go back to being a position noone gives a toss about, just as it should be.
I think it's quite unlikely though. Firstly because of the money and attraction to the CL that UEFA wouldn't want to lose from the UK.
Also it would mean continued Italian success while we go right down the shitter. Although the latter is quite likely.
As things stand Spain are on 86.142 at the top.
Then come Germany on 67.606.
England have 65.284.
Italy are a bit behind with 61.105.
Then it is Portugal on 45.082,
France with 44.916 and Russia on 43.282.
If it's a ranking system, how is it not possible? It's all dependent on performance. UEFA don't like England. I don't think they'll bend the rules for us in this case. Would one English team gone really cost UEFA that much?
We'll see what happens in Italy. I doubt we'll lose a spot as well because there aren't that many good Italian teams.
I didn't say it wasn't possible, just unlikely. UEFA may dislike England but they do like the money the teams bring in, which is always a more persuasive argument.
Wouldn't surprise me if cunts from City took it to court again if we lost a fourth place anyway. A bit of lawyer pressure and UEFA bend right over usually.
It's a point allocation system so if the Italian teams get enough, Italy will go above England, there's not much debate there as it's predetermined really.
UEFA try to pretend they make the rules but they don't. The whole CL thing is a compromise designed to stop the European elites breaking away and forming their own league, arranging their own competitions and TV deals etc. So if the big 16 don't like something it will never see the light of day anyway. Doubt Utd will be up for any change, we certainly won't be and the chavs and gypos will probably want a buffer.
Should be the top 2 at very best, top 1 preferably but then they couldn't have a meaningless league half stuffed with shitty place holders (such as ourselves if you judge us on performance).
