Yep, It's been exactly 12 years ago since we got Sol from the Spud's, those fuckers went mad , those days are gone however :/ .
Another Higuain article, saying we should be getting him soon :coffee:

This is saying he's arriving in London tomorrow
Seems Arseblog has specifically targeted Ollie in this morning's blog:

Finally for today, a word on betting suspended stories which have become standard this summer. Twitter will become abuzz with the news that a bookie has suspended betting on a certain player joining a certain club, which leads rise to speculation that a deal is on the brink of completion.
The website associated with said bookie, be it their own portal, or a large sports website which may or may not have its own TV channel, then publishes a story saying betting has been suspended, adding another layer of credibility to things. If that organisation does have a TV channel, it becomes a story on there too, with the bookie highlighted as the main source, but the issue is people think the story is about the player and transfer.
Its not. Its about the betting. These stories are cheap, and sadly effective, viral marketing. Nothing more. Nothing less. They prey on peoples desire, their need, to believe things they want to believe. I saw someone ask on Twitter last night, why would a bookie lie to us?
Why indeed. Save your money.
or, just consider that we are never going to blow pretty much every penny in our supposed trove of golden transfer funds on one player.
if anyone for a second bought into suarez was on his way to us they deserve a kick in their stupid fucking ****.
Back on Jovetic I see.Quote:
Arsenal and Manchester City could compete to sign forward Stevan Jovetic after Fiorentina hinted they were open to selling the 23-year-old for the right price.

Paper bollocks but i put his name forward as a viable target for our striker and supposedly he could go for about 15mil, fucking bargain if you ask me!
"Fiorentina are close to signing German international Mario Gomez, 27, from Bayern Munich. The Italian club are currently offering £10m for the striker, although the Bavarians are reportedly holding out for £15m." gazeto del sportio or whatever its called
the german giroud? 25 goals in 58 internationals, 75 in 115 for bayern, 84 in 164 for stuttgart. if he is a german giroud then we wouldnt be after a "world class striker"
he's better than giroud, no doubt. but wenger won't go for another big striker. he'll want a ball playing guy next.
German Giroud in that he blows hot and cold. One match seems ultra clinical, then another needs a dozen chances to even get a shot on target. I think his style of play is similar, and I don't see him as likely to be much of an improvement on Giroud for us. Just my opinion.
Fair enough but wouldnt mind him missing some if he still had those stats at the end of the season. all strikers will miss and all strikers will blow hot and cold. he will blow hot more than cold i would say though.
rooney is a streak striker too in that aspect but is still generally quality.
but as Terry said, it will probably be a ball player rather than target/box striker that comes.
Giroud has never seemed ultra clinical.
Higuain had a poor season by his standards last season, watched a bit of Madrid and he spurned his fair share of chances...maybe a confidence thing.
City front runners to sign Negredo apparently.
Is that **** ever going to move? Been linked with a move over here for years now.
West Brom to sign Anelka.
:haha:
Ollie, mind the heart.
At what time today does Higgy's flight arrive at Heathrow?
Hope we have someone on the lookout for that **** Levy at said airport, lest he be there disguised as a cabby with a "Senor Higuain" hand written sign ready to kidnap our boy.

He looks thrilled.
Once again we haggle over a few pennies and miss out on an amazing player. Linked with him for three years and we can't even complete a deal. In a matter of just days, Spurs have snapped up Paul Eno and Liverpool have bought loads of players and West Brom brought in a quality striker and we look like mugs again. This club is joke, Gazidick is a **** and Weng**** is a **** too.
My life is shit. Weng**** has ruined it.
If we don't buy players we never had any intention of buying, I'll kill myself. Or alternatively, post passive-aggressively on Arsenal matters for the rest of my days and even let this pathetic anger seep into every other subject I discuss despite the irrelevance.
Wenger is the w*rst.
So, no Rooney then, phew.
Reports that Mourinho is going to sell Demba Ba
Swap for Giroud ? :violin:
