Well Dempsey is a direct replacement for VDV. Only he'll track back less than VDV and play completely as a second striker. With that, of course, he'll get his customary 1-in-3 record. How many will the spuds let in is the key. I've never been impressed by Lloris. At all.

I can see some potential in De Gea because he seems to pull off some incredible saves at times. From the (admittedly limited) sightings of Lloris, he's a bit of a clown.

But Dempsey is definitely a good, safe bet for a decent goalscorer. I'm just thinking keeping the opposition out might be the spuds problem. It seemed to be something AVB struggled heavily with last year.
