Reading :haha:
Going down next season
Seriously though, what are their chances of doing a Norwich/Swansea or are they more a Burnley or a Blackpool or just a Derby?
Also what kind of football do they play? Last thing we need is more hoofball
The impression I get is that they play decent football and will probably be like Norwich/Swansealona.
Southampton only need a point to go up as well. It will be good to have them back, if only for the added emotion Le Tiss is bound to show on Soccer Saturday.
Anyones guess for the play offs. Hopefully it's not Birmingham yo-yo'ing their way back again.
The team everyone wants to go up from the play-offs is Blackpool.
Never heard anyone who knows a thing about football say any different.
I'd quite like Cardiff to go up, just for somebody different.
And so I can  at the Swansea v Cardiff riots.
:gp:
They won't though.
West Ham and Birmingham look stronger by far. It'll be one of them. Preferably West Ham - would be more entertaining to have a big club back in the top league.
Cardiff going up will suck for the away fans - the only thing worse than a trip to Wales is two trips to Wales.
I live in Reading so can answer this. They play better football than last year. Their play-off trouncing by Swansea showed them up for what they were - largely Matt Mills lumping it forward 70 yards to Shane Long, who were both good players but have gone now.
They've always been a great counter attacking side, Kebe & McAnuff down the flanks are fantastic. This year they move it around much better, they're very workmanlike, solid, defence are a bit old & will need shaking up, the full-back is only on loan, but they create chances and have plenty of decent strikers, the best one Le Fondre, who'll be fine in the PL doesn't even start.
Definitely the best side in the league and they should be fine but the P.L could be quite strong next year
If they have a decent few seasons, Mc Dermott could end up as in demand as Rodgers may do. With him being an ex Arsenal player he could be the best suggestion for an English manager of us in the future.
Tbf, Rodgers hasnt even had a full decent season yet
Pompey and Coventry are down
Southampton can go up today with a win
1-1 currently at Boro
West Ham can still do it
COYI
Southampton have already doomed Coventry on the last day. Fortunately I don't think the door is wide enough for Fat Sam to squeeze in. Now for him to fuck up the play-offs.
Leicester v West Ham Mon 23 Apr 19:45
Anything other than a West Ham win means Southampton are up
They win and 2 points behind going in to the last round of fixtures
Come on Leicester.
COYI
Leicester 1-0 'Ammers, Beckford.
37 minutes gone.
Leicester 1-1 'Ammers, Reid.
COYI
If they dont win today, the last day will be so dull with top 2 and relegation sorted
Leicester 1-2 'Ammers, Collison.
Fuck yes
Need a few more as Southampton has a better GD
Lansbury is on.
Nolan is an idiot, could've rolled it to Lansbury for an easy tap-in yet goes for goal and hits it straight at Schmeichel.
1-2 FT. It goes to the last day between Southampton and the 'Ammers.
The only other issue to decide is whether it's Middlesbrough or Cardiff in to the play-offs (I don't think Boro will make up 23 goals on Birmingham).
Southampton will still go up tbh, can't see them losing at home.
