Who do Chelsea play in the semi?
Blame Cavani
Fairly sure Mourinho didn't win the CL in his first season at Inter.
Real Madrid through.
I bet Mourinho names his sword.
:banghead:
Chelsea through. This season is beyond disgusting.
Fuck this.
Not even 4 mins played
As my Dad so wisely puts it, "away goals is a load of old bollocks anyway"
Well I get what I [sorta] wanted, it better not bite me on the arse
I hope we don't spend Ł55mill on Cavani - not when we already have a Giroud. Talk about a hyped player.
Same old selection of fuckers making up the CL last 4.
How did Cavani not even hit the target ? Whole side of the goal was fuckin empty
Have a bad feeling Chelsea will win it now.
I expect UEFA will do it's best tomorrow to make sure Athletico and United don't go through, and of course, I suspect Madrid and Barca will conveniently avoid each other in the semis
Very cynical indeed. And true.Quote:

This was inevitable as soon as Chelsea got the first goal. PSG were negative all night and Blanc did a WUMger by trying to go all out defensive at the end when it clearly doesn't suit his players. Taking Lavezzi off?! FFS. Pastore also offers nothing (last week aside). Awful stuff from everyone involved with PSG. Chelsea fully deserved it.
Fucking Cavani though topped it off. He's shit for U R Gay too. Needs to go back to Napoli. Also, Lucas is what Theo was supposed to be back when he was just pace and no football brain. At least Theo had the excuse of not being overly gifted and not costing Ł98 million.
Mou's reaction after the match. First, let me say that I despise him as a human being. Second, I want to point out how different he is tactically to our manager. He just seems to plan it all... plan A, B, C, D, E. We do not have anything remotely close to that... forget plan B, we dont seem to even have a Plan A these days! :ilt:Quote:
"I didn't go to the corner flag to celebrate. I went to tell them the changes we had to make. There were three minutes plus extra-time left and the way we were playing was too risky.
"I wanted Demba Ba to play in front of the defenders and Fernando Torres to defend Maxwell. I tried to use them in different jobs.
"I think we did enough at beginning of the second-half to score before we did. The contradiction of what they (PSG) are and what they wanted to do. In the second-half it was pure ball possession. But it was difficult for us to penetrate. We did it in training yesterday, with three different systems, all of which we used. The players knew what they had to do. Demba Ba made a crucial finish for us.
"It was very much deserved that the team that tried to defend was punished. The team that played with their heart deserved to go through."
As much as it pains to say this, but I actually enjoyed watching Chelsea tonight. I thought they showed hunger, desire, passion and above all 1000% commitment, and you could see they were putting a double shift for their manager. Just a shame our players dont play with the same intensity and passion. I hope Wenger was watching that game as he would have learned that an active manager who applies tactics and is bold to make changes as and when required can change games. I do envy Chelsea fans as they never cease to have an exciting end to a season were us poor fuckers have had the same dross season ending in January/February for the past 10 years.

FFS Cavani.
Probably be:
Bayern
Madrid
Chelsea
Barca
Wouldn't mind Madrid/Chelsea
Oh look when we crumble on the big stage the likes off chelski manage to step up. It wouldn't surprise me if united go against the odds and go through tonight as well :(
Surely they can't win it....can they?
I believe the most reliable, sure-fire way of ensuring a non-Chelsea win is if they draw Barca in the SF. Even the most absurd slices of luck awarded to Chelsea should be evened out by the sheer abundance of goal-scoring opportunities Barca create..
They're better now than they were in 2012, so you never know. I'll never take anything for granted again after that disgusting year.
Their team is pretty good at keeping their shape and defending well for most of the game.
All they need to do is nick an away goal, park the bus, and wait for the home game.
I wouldn't be surprised if they reach the final again.
You got to hand it to Mourinho. He came in with a team that was 80% AVB, Di-Matteo and Benitez and has taken Chelsea to the brink of a major final and possibly the league title. And we have to settle for 4th place and an FA Cup with nothing to brag about in the last 10 years apart from 4th place, just goes to show how superior a manager Mourinho is to Wenger. This is his 5th straight CL semi final, credit where credit due. In my book he is probably the best manager anywhere on the planet. And before you all say he spends money, just look at his Porto side and how they won the Champions league. Can you ever see a portuguese side winning the champions league again? No chance.
To do this you also need desire and hunger to win, they have this in abundance, teams like this can get lucky simply because of the way they play, the manager is also very tactically astute and good at making the right substitutions.
I'm worried to they could do it again as well, horrible having to watch this.
Well if they do it will prove Wengers theory of organic growth and buying cheap is receipe for disaster, as oppsoed to Chelsea who have won practially every cup in the past 10 years. And whose to say they cant win the Champions League again under Mourinho, they are only 180 minutes away from that possibility. We can slag off Chelsea all day long but I have to admire Roman and how he's transformed that club in to one the top clubs in Europe. He may hire and fire but that strategy works as they keep wining silverware,, and lets not feel sorry for the departing managers, they have all been made very rich men from being sacked. All we have this year is a lousy FA Cup and 4th place. I can never see us competing with the super clubs even though we have the financial muscle to do so, just a bunch of greedy fuckers who are more interested in their bank balances then bringing success to this club. We will never win the Champions League or ebven the Europe League. We can only dream and watch Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City play these big matches. How sad is that.
Al Capone used to give generously to charity, it helped maintain the sham of respectability. He was honoured in the community too, I guess people knew what was good for them. The chav gangster has dumped a lot of cash into the club but his own record when he has directly intervened hasn't always been glossy, like the Shevchenko brain fart. I can't admire a man for what he's bought if the comparison to what he's done is so stark.Quote:

I admire the guy what he has acheived as a very succesful businessman , who has gone on to become a super wealthy individual, who has never come out in the public domain like Vincet Tan, or Allam at Hull or Al Fawasi at Forest. He'sa clever man and although some of you despise him and the monster that is Chelse FC, you have to admit that we only wish he bought Arsenal. He's put his own money and bank rolled Chelsea's success for many years and we have been left a million miles behind. If only we had Roman as the owner of Arsenal, how different the last 10 years would have been. I sense a lot of envy not just from Arsenal fans but many fans across the leagues. We can only sit back and watch Chelsea's adventures.
Neuer, Dante, Boateng, Lahm, Müller, Alaba, Götze, Kroos, Ribéry, Mandzukic, Robben

No real CDM for Bayern, with Schwein/Martinez suspended. United have to make sure they dominate the midfield.
