I don’t think he’s any worse than what we currently have and in some ways he may even be better because he’s a ball playing CB, which fits into Emery’s style.

With Tierney coming I guess that probably means Kola will be leaving, as Monreal will be one of the captains and only used as CB in a three, plus we just activated his one year extension. Although maybe Kola will go in January once Tierney is up to speed.
It’s all very much Emery’s team now - he has to make it count now.
Having Bellerin back and Tierney means our back 4 will be much better (and younger). It had been our problem for years and we have never fixed it properly. We need to build a team from the back and make sure we have a system for for the players we have.
David Luiz is a done deal according to some. Not the greatest or most reliable CBs but an upgrade on Mustafi and brings a calmness and experience. His range of passing is exceptional.

Luiz is uselss at defendng so he'd fit right in at Arsenal. He's like a clone of Mustafi, chasing the ball and diving in without being aware of anything else happening around him.
If he's under £10m then it's not bad as a short term option though.
