I had just turned 13 when Wenger joined Arsenal

I remember us winning the double in 98, getting pissed when we won the title at old Trafford in 2002. And being in the twelve pins when we won the league at the Lane in 04.

Loved all that shit, I do remember Arsenal before Wenger, but it’s been him there most of the time.

It’s no excuse, it’s just stupidity it’s not fear or sentimentality it’s bloody mindedness.

15-16 years ago I thought he had a shot at turning us into the dominant force in English football, it didn’t happen it wasn’t all his fault but he’s lived on excuses ever since. Fuck him
