18.5 million (Telegraph is incorrect) is quite a reasonable bid but as the article says because they had already sold Schurle and Carvajal they were reluctant to sell. As usual being slow and indecisive in the market cost us - I do reckon they would have accepted the bid had they not lost those two players already. In any case despite they public posturing they would sell if we went it for a much higher offer.

Giving Bendtner another chance at the club would be the ultimate slap in the face to the fans. Further proof (if it was needed) that they couldn't give a shit about the fans, other than to just take their money.
