Hopefully, no. Leave that to the people down the road with a big chip on their shoulder.

That was a weird game. At 0-2 I was sitting there feeling rather hard done by. We really hadn't played that badly and Spurs' goals were both a bit lucky. The first was a deflection, the 2nd a penalty which resulted from a dive. BUT, we made our own problems. Saha was given far too much space for the first and while he got a bit lucky he shouldn't have been in that position in the first place. The 2nd...well, again we didn't deal with the through ball and while I heard from Gary it was a dive I could see why the ref had given it.
We'd not been playing that badly but we'd not played that well either, some of our passing was embarassingly poor and it looked like we were getting beaten by a better side (not that I'd been massively impressed with Spurs). I really couldn't see us getting anything.
The funny thing is Spurs still seemed a bit scared of us though and when we put them under a bit of pressure they did wobble. Great header from Sagna to get us back in it and what else is there to be said about RvP? Unbelievable goal out of nothing. At 2-2 we had the momentum and didn't want half time to come.
At half time I had a text from a friend which I completely agreed with. Take Walcott off and bring on Ox. Theo had a wretched first half and while I don't doubt he was trying his best he just didn't look up to it. I rolled my eyes when I saw he was still out there as they lined up for the 2nd half. I did notice Sagna go up and give Theo a little pep talk before the Spurs players came out but I didn't hold out much hope for any improvement from him and was just generally worried we'd lose the momentum we'd built up at the end of the first half, Spurs would respond and put us to the sword. Couldn't have been more wrong.
The second half was the best I've seen us play all season. Spurs are supposedly a good side this year...well, let's face it they are 3rd and deservedly so. And we spanked them. They never had a sniff in the 2nd half. Fantastic performance all round and Theo while not suddenly being spectatular worked really hard and took his goals well.
Even at 5-2 there was a long way to go and I wasn't too comfortable until the clock started to tick down but as it did I started to realise that Spurs had nothing, we were just better than them today by quite a distance. See, we can do it! It's frustrating we don't do it more often but we can be a good team when we want to be.
In brief :patrice:
Couldn't agree more. That said I don't think we can be expected to do that 3 times a week, with not many fit players to rotate. Also think loosing the fullbacks affected our game big time, much less incisive while attacking and poor at ball retention. Not having further injuries key to us finishing in top 4.
that game summed up our season so far.
the maddening thing is you do not know which team will turn up next week.
get some pride back in the cl but rest rvp for liverpool next week.
all season all i've cared about is keeping in the top 4 but it would be an hilarious bonus if tottenham finished below us - their dodgy period for the season is overdue.
next weekend is massive again, get at least a point whilst tottenham struggle without parker against utd and it's game on for 3rd.
Man the glory-glory match thread is funny

Never seen somebody so good with his back to goal. The number of times he is able to turn defenders like that is phenomenal.
Yeah, he's so good at shielding the ball and then finding space to shoot, the best striker in the world this year, without a doubt.
Sign him up.
