What is it that Barton has done to make himself the biggest hate figure in football? I mean off-field because the stuff he's done on the pitch is no worse than several others that could be mentioned.
More to do with him smacking the shit out of his ex team mate Dabo and stubbing a cigareete out in another players eye (cant remember his name) oh and needlessly punching Pederrson in the chest during a game this season.

Barton in the past has done some things that make you cringe but so has our defence or for that matter Paddy in his prime did (granted Barton is no Viera and Paddy to my knowledge didnt whack anyone but I am sure you see my point? !)
