Cook gone for 48
One man to blame for that and thats Trott
Blame Trott for that. Awful ODI playerQuote:
Oh dear, that was almost too predictable...laden down by a snail-like run-rate from the past few overs, Alastair Cook attempts to use his feet for a big aerial shot over long off, but he miscues his stroke, spooning the ball for off-side sweeper Angelo Mathews to gather with consummate ease.
Still quite an even match though. SA&England will need to keep wickets in tact in the next 15 overs.

From Ben, Liverpool, in the TMS inbox: "I'm trying to convince other people in the office to let me put the cricket on the TV. Unfortunately the impending arrival of Andy Murray onto Centre Court is ensuring that cricket, to put it bluntly, is simply being ignored for the day."
Meh, fuck it, I'm watching the motherland in action until it starts pissing down in Barbados again.

Chris Gayle has broken his silence over the stand-off between himself and the West Indies Cricket Board. Very emotional statement released:
http://www.espncricinfo.com/west-ind...ry/521593.htmlQuote:
I, Christopher Henry Gayle, am making this statement so that all my friends, fans and followers who continue to wonder why I am not being picked for the West Indies team despite being fit, available and in form will know the truth considering the many rumours and statements that have been made as it relates to this issue. Until now, I have kept my silence, but I believe that the time has come for you to all know what I plan to do about this extremely frustrating and humiliating situation....[read on]
A shorter version of it

Kohli goes for 27. Day 5, India lead by 243 runs with 6 wickets in hand. They'll look to declare around lunchtime.
Kohli also dropped for the England tour. Shitwag is in the squad but expected to miss the first Test.
Thank fuck for that.
Kohli has looked shite against WI.
Sehwag
We need him for the first Test though
Kohli was disappointing. He's too talented player to be out the set-up for too long though.
With Sehwag out, Mukund will probably open with Gambhir and Anderson will get him lbw in both innings.
Dhoni declares with a lead of 280....might not be enough
He thinks he's a gangster.
Cook got a ton.
Cook
WI were 200 odd for 7
Ended as a draw.
Sharma got 10 wickets in the match
3rd ODI today between Eng and SL
Eng 246-7 off their 50
Cook got 119 but off 143 balls
KP got a very good 41 off 43 balls
Trott is awful. 2 off 13 balls
SL 30-1
Dilshan gone
Bowled Bresnan
133-2
Jayawardene gone for 79
Caught Morgan Bowled Dernbach
Well done to Cook.
A well earned  for the rest of the batsmen though (most of them anyway).
SL won by 6 wickets.
Shocking from England
Couple of cric games going on. England have started very well in the ODI - SL 11/2 after 4 overs. And Dhoni won the toss and has put Windies in first in the 3rd Test. Hope the weather is clear for both games.
Make that 11/3 ! Anderson gets an lbw
Apparently India v England @ Lord's was sold out ages ago.
ffs - didn't think Tests were still that popular.
Uncle has a couple tickets and is going so will probably go for a few hours.
Sri Lanka were all out for 174.
England.
England are 55-0, Cook is hitting it at more than a run a ball...and now the rain has come down.
20 overs need to be bowled in order to constitute a match and currently 7.4 have been bowled.
Cook
95 of 70 odd balls.
ach :pal:
England
India :pal:
Interesting situation in the Third Test. Rampaul went off injured and Windies were left with just 3 bowlers to bowl 90 overs (if Darren Sammy actually counts as a village bowler). Chanderpaul bowled for the first time in 5 years and took the weirdest wicket I've ever seen. Laxman was stumped leaving a ball. I've ruined Kohli's chances of becoming a decent cricketer by constantly talking him up. Mukund's already better than Sehwag so glad he'll be opening against England.
Anyway, Dennis Dhoni's playing a don of an innings. He has a decent average for someone with no technique or quality. 65* so far but already 6 down with the worst player ever to take 400 wickets at the crease with him. Prepared for some village garbage now that all the proper batsman are out.
England 268-9 off 50 overs
Series win over arguably the 2nd best one day team in the world? I'll take that!
Bresnan is Mr. Reliable.
WI and India drew the final test
India win the series.
On to England
