Rooney signs new deal
Rooney's New Contract:
£15,600,000 a year
£300,000 a wk
£43,000 a day
£1,800 an hour
£30 a min
£0.50p a sec
Not worth the money, but I guess he'll cost them less than signing another striker and they can concentrate on spending money on other areas.
They'll spend in excess of a million a month on him. It might be a good sporting decision (I don't think it is) but I've seen that this is supposedly a wise business decision.
Moyes is a lunatic.
Absoutely obscene but I suppose this is the direction that football has been heading in for a while now. It's also unsustainable in the long run as well as dropping out of the CL, deteriorting performances in the legue will lose them revenue and potentially lose some high value sponsers.
I can see why Utd did this though, they're desperate and losing Rooney would have fit into the narrative that they're empire is collapsing and signing a similar quality replacement would have cost a similar fee (40 million transfer + wages). Rooney's agent has played a blinder here though.
Smells of desperation.
Twice he's asked to leave and on the first occasion panned the club, but now he's quids in once again.
Well if you can get away with it why not? I would!
They don't need this guy in the trenches with them. But if it adds to their misery.....
Wazza, when he's in one of his incredible patches of form, is as good as anyone not named Messi or Ronaldo.
If United get back on track next season and strengthen, this deal is priceless if Shrek can produce that over a whole season.
They do seem to be splashing the cash, despite the current image of them being a beleaguered also-ran. £28m on Fellaini, £37m on Mata, £18 billion on Rooney.
If they continue to do that and get rid of Moyes, they'll be a huge threat again and Wazza will be at the centre of that.
Also, RVC .
