We just need to get that one top signing in and hopefully people will sit up and take notice. Arsenal probably doesn't even register on these players radar anymore simply because we're never interested, so our reputation needs to be built up again. Suarez would be an incredible signing for many reasons.
It would have added to AW's red card count Sky love talking about.
No doubt we'll hear how AW has overseen a team with far more red cards than any other serving EPL manager.
Money talks.
I'd even move somewhere massively shit like France, Scotland, Middle East, Bangladesh, Alderaan or Wales if the money was right.
:)
see....thats the difference between moneyhungry pieces of vermin and normal folks......(we have our bounderies.....Croydon being one of them!!)
Getting in a shit CB does not help a defensive crisis.Quote:
Arsenal could turn to Swansea's Ashley Williams, 28, to cope with their growing defensive crisis.

The Gunners could also revive their interest in Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain, 25, who is stalling on a move to Napoli because he is keen on a move to London.

He's going to Chelsea.
We have strengthened by talking about signing players. Excellent. The advantage we have here is we can continue strengthening even after the window has shut.Quote:
WOJCIECH SZCZESNY insists Arsenal have strengthened over the summer — even though they have yet to make a big signing.
The fact no top names are on their way out has convinced the keeper that good times lie ahead.
Szczesny said: “You try not to think of the sagas — Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie and Samir Nasri.
“But it’s always in your mind you’ll lose another top player.
“This time, everyone is talking about who Arsenal are bringing in. That makes us feel stronger.”
The Poland No 1 was dropped for a dip in form last term but will fight for a place even if Arsene Wenger signs a keeper.
He added: “I’d do my very best to compete. I wouldn’t be thinking about going elsewhere.”

Time for Biglia to come home!
Man Ure in again for Cesc

Strange he's doing it all so publicly.
Bless him.
If Wenger has spoken to Cesc as per last weeks reports, he thinks that Cesc will be available for transfer next summer.
However, Utd wouldn't be so public if they didn't expect to sign him.
Hopefully, Wenger knows on this one and will bring him back rather than letting him go to United.
Not sure, how what Moyes is saying and doing is any different to Chelsea & Rooney which appeared to annoy him!
Cesc is going to Man Utd, no doubt about it. They'll have spoken to his agent and if Cesc had told them he'd only join Arsenal if he must leave Barca then they wouldn't be bidding for him. Certainly not two bids.
I really don't know how I'm going to watch football next season. Two former Arsenal captains playing for Man Utd!! A disgrace.
Utd fans somehow got over it when Silvestre switched sides.
Barca must be keeping us in the loop as well.
Come on Wenget.
Good luck to Moyes.
To me it just seems like it's all being made so public so when he doesn't go there he can at least say 'Well, I tried my best'
Is Wenger really going to let Cesc , a player we developed for nearly a decade to help United get the title ?
£24m was enough for RVC , and if Cesc goes to United we'll get 50% of any fee.
Wenger :rose:
War chest building up
Re the 50% fee, I read its from any sale and is in the contract
Essentially

If Arsenal were to refuse that option, they would still be entitled to half of Fabregas’s next transfer fee.

Didn't Barca boast about Cesc's buyout clause being some ludicrously high figure? Was that just BS then? Also, if they sell for £26 they don't make any profit - they make a loss. So we get nothing. It will be infuriating watching the board and the manager sitting on their hands as another one of the captains we developed heads to a rival to open up the gap in quality even wider.
Only consolation is we have Sanogo.
I can't see any club agreeing to those terms. As incredible as it may seem, the media may have got it wrong. And there's that Euro200mill buyout, if true then Utd can't force the transfer by unsettling the player (Barca's favourite tactic). Cesc will have to want to go. To Utd! There's a possibility Arsenal fans would view that in a dim light.
It would be a really bad move to let cesc go to united (thats if we have any say in the matter). He is world class and is the sort of player united really need.
