Shut up.
 Snappy comeback.
True though. How hasn't he scored from a corner/freekick with the amount we've had all season? Don't we get between 5 and 10 a game? that's like 100-200 "chances" in the prem alone. Not really good enough.
Seen him win plenty of headers defensively
I was at the Swansea game and that was his debut if i remember rightly, he was excellent.
He doesnt win every header but who does?
Mountain out of a mole hill. Hes fine. Done very well. One summer signing we can be happy with
His game is all about positioning and he wins the ones where he gets that right. The problem is because he's so tall, his leap isn't great from a standing position, similar to Peter Crouch. You can see he's been a great player for us so far. Very intelligent in how he mops stuff up, and I do appreciate that we've finally adopted a deeper line and more pragmatic tactical outlook (also helped by Arteta).
Initially he seemed to struggle to adapt to the PL but I think he's getting there. Overall he's impressed me in the last few games.
Thankfully, Koscielny has improved hugely in terms of heading. Vermaelen has always been good in that department too.
There's very little to complain about regarding our defence at the moment, especially as we've been decimated. Shame Szczesny had to have his worst game (well half) of the season yesterday.
Agree with Kaiser and Letters. He's done well, and is definitely an upgrade on what we had, and a far better option than the likes of Cahill.
Given his awkward style you always hold your breath whenever he's on the ball, but he's a no nonsense defender and seems to have a nack of making timely interceptions. When Gallas and Toure were fucking up back in the day, a defender like Mertesacker is what we were calling for.
Even Andre the giant would not score from our corners. Why? Coz we probably dont practice set pieces. Did anyone notice the difference in Per's footwork since joining us? Before he looked like he would fall down the moment the ball came to him, now he looks much more assured.. wonder why Arsene doesnt give the same ball control coaching to Theo! That guy could do with a 4 year degree in controlling the ball.. he may barely pass that uni!

That is all
What have Drogba and Woody Harelson got to do with anything?
Started off a bit wobbly but defensively has become very comfortable. . .it really is a shame we cant get a back 4 settled, what with all the injuries! If we could would get even better because even tho no mutha seems to be able to biry one from a corner, the same can be said for teams playong against us because until the other night I thought we had been defending set pieces far better than last year. . .
Fucking Fulham
Let's just hope Merts doesn't get injured, else it's Squid. Enough said.
For all his int'l experience he's decidely average. i thought that of him when he was at Bremen and when he's played for Germany.
Was totally underwhelmed by his signing.
He can't jump for toffee and although he gets into the right positions his body shape is all wrong, hence why he looks so fuckin clumsy when he's dispossessed and the opposition go on to score.
Anyone notice he's never deployed to mark the big striker? It's always Kossie or Vermaelen.
He couldn'rt even handle Steve Morison. And he's not exactly a technical striker is he...?
I'll give him this season to improve before I start properly laying into him.
you may as well start now cos it doesn't look like you're giving him any time at all
