Have to love him!
Leave it yeah!
It's a shame all of our GHELs are made of glass.
Funny how he was buzzing and angry on Saturday though.
I'm buzzing!
Rosicky is still dabbling then. :ninja:
Allegedly.
Frimpong is a failure. A non-footballer.
A good WUM to have in our ranks though.
Needs to focus on his football and less on the wumming. He might endear himself to us by winding up Nasri or Spurs fans, but if he wants to make a success of himself here he needs to improve a lot technically.
not sure what to make of him. he's an absolute beast and clearly does plenty of gym work. every team in the country needs that big man/twattish guy who doesn't give two fucks about the opposition and just wants to get stuck in- well he's that guy for us. he clearly loves the club because he's been here from a very early age, but his off field antics need to stop. this whole selling t-shirts with lethal bizzle is a complete distraction from on field performances and if anyone needs convincing as to what can happen when players leave their social-media antics behind, they only need to look at szczesny, who deleted his twitter a few months ago to 'focus on his football' and has since turned in performances of his life.
one does have to question why frimpong keeps getting the same old injuries but in terms of his effectiveness on the field then you only have to look at wolves, who completely fell apart when he got injured. i know its easy to say that because he's a gooner but they really did; they were cruising it with frimpong on the field and he had great range of passing in that villa game, playing a crucial role in wolves' goals. as soon as he came off, wolves fell apart and villa ended up winning. the balance in midfield completed shifted and there was a massive gap without beast there.
at arsenal he's something completely different but thats not necessary a bad thing; he doesnt tip tap the shit out of that football and just gets stuck in, albeit at the wrong times such as liverpool when he got sent off (i was there and it was clearly evident he was getting a second yellow and his temperament let him down) however he will learn from his mistakes and he'll improve; lets just hope he stays and fights for his place instead of taking the easy route out because he could be the man to take the helm from song in a few years time.
Hes a shit player and hes annoying off the field with all his shit
Must Get Rid Of
In the reserves, along with lansbury I seemed to remember him as a box to box midfielder like essien, mobile and good at defense and attack, a central mid, not a defensive holder. Like Flamini he's seen as a clogger in the first team, and he does put in some crunching tackles, but he actually has better technique than he's given credit for, especially passing range as you said and shooting. But I think Wenger wanted to use him in a less attacking role in the first team, maybe to continue developing his physical game. And that's definitely developing!
underneath all of that mad energy he wastes, i think there is a very talented footballer but he needs to be reigned in by the management both on and off the field.
he is already a guaranteed quote for the press and quite possibly more of a marked man on the field the more he opens his mouth off it. young players do not need the additional personality stress created by the media alongside their private and professional lives already being fair game for the press.
i'm sure he is a dedicated, hard working guy who does all the right things to get the most out of himself so he has the two vital things to succeed; talent and hard work. whether or not he is managed correctly by himself, his family and the club will determine how far he can go i think.
That video made me like him even more. Say what you like, he is a trier, and a role model in terms of his attitude to the club, the sport and his own personal set backs.
Wish him the best.
just part of modern footballisation im afraid. we've got attention whoring, social media craving players and it's only getting worse. it's deeply rooted in the modern game as most of them think they are superstars even before they've kicked a ball for the first team. all of which is reasserted by the big wages they receive, feeding their inflated ego's.
Frimpong
Not sure what all the whining above is about.
People complain that players are too distant from the fans and we don't have characters that love the club in the game anymore and then when one pops up he's called childish, immature, shit etc.
As for his ability, let's not forget he's still young. He was easily Wolves best player in the games he played for them (not that hard to do, admittedly) and will benefit from a full season out on loan next year. Think he does have what it takes to play for us.
Yep.
He will be a beast of a dm.
I don't doubt that he loves the club.
However I do find him to be childish and immature though. His appearance on Soccer AM this season with "Bizzle" was one of the most cringe worthy things I've seen. His general persona is not for me really, I probably wouldn't mind as much if he had made a name for himself on the pitch but he hasn't (not his fault because of injuries). The guy is more famous for this dench nonsense.
He's got quite a sense of humour, but I do think he needs to do less talking. He's always on Twitter with his "dench" stuff, I suppose he's a typical young footballer that is into all that social network nonsense.
Hes a classic example of a nothing player who thinks hes made it and will no doubt get a £70k a week contract from Wenger soon and then we wont be able to get rid of him
He talks funny.
The thing about oo ee oo aa aa ting tang walla walla Frimpong is that, whenever I've seen him play, he has actually been pretty good. But I think Coquelin is the better prospect.
Still needs a loan for his development and maturity, coquelin is ahead of him at the moment after his lorient loan.
this. while its not frimpong fault he has had two knee injuries, coqulain has gained on him and is now deputy to song imo. if we get m'vila then he becomes third choice while frimpong will be 4th. frimpong could be brilliant, but sadly for him, i dont htink he will make it given how good coqulain is
http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/Disciplin...ed-240712.aspxQuote:
Arsenal’s Emmanuel Frimpong has been charged under FA Rule E3 for improper conduct in relation to recent comments made on Twitter.
The allegation is that Frimpong posted comments amounting to improper conduct and/or which brought the game into disrepute, which included a reference to ethnic origin, faith or race.
The player has until 4pm on 27 July 2012 to respond to the charge.
Is that with regards to the Yid comment?
What did he say?
