Time to give Park Chu Young a second chance?

He's played more minutes in the olympics these last 2 weeks then he has for Arsenal in a year and he scored a great goal today, I think we should give him a second chance as a 4th choice striker and more importantly isn't it becoming increasingly likely that he will stay given what arsenal fc website said about the clubs desire for him to improve next season and the fact that no club seems to be interested :violin:

I'd keep him over Chakma any time! He never got the chance to be proved a flop.. I think he could be a decent back up. Much better than Chakma anyway!

I don't understand why we've never really used him, he's looked decent wherever else he's played. It just shows we only signed him to sell shirts in asia.

why would wenger have signed him as an emergency signing just to sell shirts in asia though? it was clear he was a panic buy the way we fought off lille for him

But Arteta was a panic buy too, and we didn't leave him on the bench, we used him and he became (arguably) our 2nd most important player. It was rumoured a few months ago that Park was signed for commercial reasons, i believe this now.

damn feel sorry for park then, in the prime of his career and with one league appearance and one league cup goal against bolton

As GP said he never got a first chance and it makes me laugh when people who have not seen him play less than a handful of games use the same adjectives to describe him as they do for Chamkh who we have all seen many times

Could be a decent back up and I dont think he was bought for shirt sales, there is though something fishy about the deal

Not sure why he hasn't pushed for a move, there's no way he'll get a chance here.

If I was completely absent of any cynicism, I'd be puzzled by this signing.
