Likely team?
Ches

That team looks about right.
Mannone might play though if Chesney is fit for City.
Cant see Wenger playing our numbe 2 keeper v City so Mannone should start in that and Ches in this
Always a bit desperate when you have to explain your initial WUM post with a second one.
If Szczesny is still out of the picture it'll be that Martinez bloke or whatever his name is.
If Giroud can't get a goal here (and he actually plays), he should retire.
+1's galore.
Hope we see Gnabry or Eisfeld.
Likley to be something like:-
----------------Martinez--------------
--Yennaris---Djourou--Miguel--Santos--
--------Coquelin---Frimpong---Ox-----
---Arshavin------Giroud------Walcott--
Much as it pains me to admit it, Arshavin needs games to ensure morbid obesity does not set in and that he is ready if called upon/sold.
6-1
jenkinson's dad to bag a hattrick
Giroud double hattrick.
You read it here first.
chamakh to start...
We should go 4-4-2
Martinez
Yennaris Djo Kos Santos
Ox Coq Ramsey Arshavin
Theo Chamakh

“Hector Bellerin, Kris Olsson, Serge Gnabry, Nico Yennaris and Craig Eastmond could be [involved],” Wenger told Arsenal Player. “All these players could have an opportunity to play. Ignasi Miquel will play. We will have a good mixture of experience and professional top-class players.
“We want to put out a talented side that has a good chance to win the game. We will give a chance to some players who have not played as many games recently. The players that did not play on Sunday [at Manchester City] will get a chance and it’s a good opportunity for them to show they can do well.”
No Eisfeld :(.
Wenget hyping up Gnabbers:
http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-arc...eam-this-year-Quote:
“Serge Gnabry is a great hope for the future, I rate him highly,” the manager told Arsenal Player. “If he continues his development, I think he could play in the first team this season. At the moment he needs to work and ensure he remains fit.
“He is in the category of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott - guys who have great power, great pace and good dribbling skills.
“He has goalscoring potential and good vision as well for the final ball. He can play centrally behind the striker or on the flanks.”
Theo .
We have Theos replacement
Europa League, here we come
Jacks on the bench tonite! I will b there to pray he doesnt get crocked by sum lower league mong
Will get d link in a sec bt sure i read aw say he will b pn d bench tonite
apologies Syn, read the article on the way to work half asleep it seems like. he says that frimmy is back, like jack. then says he will be on bench. i took it as jack but after a coffee and croissant i fink he meant frimmy!
The squad vs Coventry looks quite strong . A good mixture of young talents and experienced players . Will be an exciting game for sure . Come on Gunners .
yep, looking forward for my 1st visit of the season. particularly hope eisfeld and gnarby or whatever his name is gets a run out. wanna see theo up top too but thats all being discussed in another thread.
You'd think Eisfeld would be certain to start. Looking very thin in midfield. Very inexperienced. Might've been worth dragging Cazorla into this for 30 mins just to settle everyone down.
This is the squad btw:
11 Andre Santos
12 Olivier Giroud
14 Theo Walcott
15 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
18 Sebastien Squillaci
20 Johan Djourou
22 Francis Coquelin
23 Andrey Arshavin
26 Emmanuel Frimpong
29 Marouane Chamakh
36 Damian Martinez
38 Martin Angha
40 Hector Bellerin
46 Thomas Eisfeld
47 Serge Gnabry
54 Ignasi Miquel
60 James Shea
64 Nico Yennaris
Arshavin couldn't settle a - Arshavin wouldn't be worth dragging into a -...Arshavin's shit!!
I don't think 'experience' is really needed for this match, Coventry are in the shitter.
Dont think eisfeld will start bt wud like to see him at some point. Mf is a bit inexperienced. Fink arsh will take d cazorla role.
Mate, can we have less txt speak please?
Fielding teams with less experience is one of the reasons we have done so well in this competition, they're all eager to prove something.
yes sir, mr maccy sir! sorry, i have to sneak onto the site when my boss isnt looking so saving those 0.0003 seconds is essential!
as for the post, yes they are all eager to prove something which is great but i would like one older head per department so to speak just to calm the youngsters down especially if we go 1 goal down.
 It's ok.
Ordinarily the senior guys start and the bench is filled with the players further down the rung. The younger guys will just be encouraged to play in the same way, even after going a goal down. Although I'd be surprised if that happened tonight.
also may need someone to hold frimpong back. you know he will run around causing havoc once he gets on the pitch!
Ah yeah, forgot about that scrote.
agreed. its about getting the balance right. this year we have greater squad depth which means players like arshavin and walcott are playing in the cup team instead of first team. in previous years we'd rest them for the league. that makes our cup team even stronger which should hopefully result in some sort of trophy.
