Wilshere shouldn't start. Not only because he looked rusty against Norwich, but because he and Cazorla just don't function together.
Drop Cazorla back and play Podolski and Oxo/Theo on the wings. Oxo gives an extra body in midfield at times and adds little bit guile if Everton pack the defence.
Mertesacker back in for Vermaelen too of course.

The problem is that he is not Van Persie... if he had come in place of Aliadiere, he would have been considered good but since he replaced RVP, he needed to be doing stepovers, dictating play, hitting 100 mph FK's etc. Sometimes you just cant argue with numbers and having a hand in 30 goals for the club in his first full season is truly remarkable. His movement can be better but again, he is trying to get to understand his teammates and the constantly changing wingers- sometimes Theo, Gervinho, Ramsey, Podolski, Cazorla, does not help.Quote:
