This is going to be a tough one. Little bit worried.
Not sure we have anyone back from injury for this....
We could use some pace....do we have any?

Tbh I'd be tempted to have Arteta in for Gnabry and take them on in a Barcelona imitation contest. Going to be tough in any case.
Once the Flamster's scared Michu (bless you!) into quiescence it should be a breeze. 0-4 Gnabbers and a Giroud hat-trick :good:
Always expect a tough game with Swansealona, if we allow them as much time on the ball as we did with Stoke they'll punish us.
Should be an entertaining game though.
1-2.
Monreal and Gibbs on the left. Wilshere on the right. Ozil, Ramsey, Flamini central. Obvs. #classicarsene
So many injuries!!! :sulk:
I think Laudrup will have realised we are more willing to let teams have the ball and sit in an organised fashion waiting to counter. As a result he will want to do what Arsene often speaks about trying to do to other teams: Move us out of position.... probably by getting their midfielder's to go wide before finding an unsuspecting outlet that pops up in the middle.
I also think that Ramsey is okay starting from his deeper position alongside a partner because it has helped him ghost into goal scoring positions as the opposition are often slow to pick him up...... despite the fact he is scoring every game and they would have obviously earmarked him in their dressing room. I'd be tempted to play Arteta wide right (it is preferable to Wilshere wide imo) but I wouldn't want to give him too many games too soon.

Merkyl
Gibbs over Gnabry on the left might be a shout.
Quicker and more direct.
We need width in this game.
0-3
ozil hattrick
Hang on I mean Gibbs on left and Ozil/Wilshere on the right. Gnabry is right footed.
cannot wait for this game. first away game of the season.
away days
Tough game now with Theo out and none of the injured fellas back. Swansea play beter away from home but they are still one of the best sides in the league when on form. Laudrup is a fantastic manager and wont be there for too long.
We have no wingers so wont stretch them and this might be a factor. 1-1 wont be a bad result.
Must win game this if we're to put a gap between us and the swamp dwellers.
0-2.

No new injuries for this game, although apparently Ramsey has a little bit thigh but should be fine.
Worried about this. Always hate the 5pm Saturday kick-offs especially away from home. Swansea seemed to have hit a purple patch just when they're about to face us.

Rosicky and Santi can't come back soon enough. I don't like forcing Jack out wide but we don't really have many other options right now.
I fear for us in the game, I can see Swansea's midfield just completely taking ours to the cleaners. I don't know Rosicky's status, but I much rather have him in this game instead of Wilshere.
Not back till Napoli so he can't be considered.
Hate the idea of Jack wide constantly running into a dead end. Just play Ozil wide I say. Ozil doesn't need to start from a central position to influence the game and he is far better wide than any other midfielders we have barring Cazorla.
I think this will be a game where we will show our new resilience. Keep it tight at the back and a goal from an ozil set piece will be enough. 1-0 us.
beautiful....
Bobby
is Sir Bobby playing on the wing for us on Saturday... better than Ryo.
Jinx.
1-3 Us. W're winning the pl this season so we're winning here.
Hard game this one, Swansea seem to be playing quite well, Michu is scoring again and they play some smart looking football. Gonna be tough to win this one.
Same team as it was against Stoke (Goal.com)
Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Flamini, Ramsey, Özil, Wilshere, Gnabry, Giroud
Surprised that Gnabry starts this. He looked completely dead at the end of the WBA game, having played 120 mins on top of the 90 mins last Sunday.
Would have thought that Wenger would go with the safer option of Monreal + Gibbs and Ozil on the right.
Should have gone with Ryo tbh, quicker and better wide player. :coffee:
Ryo looks well out of his depth at this level.
