Didn't turn up. Liverpool did. At this level you'll get a pasting under those circumstances.
Tactics bad - unforgivable. Team selection bad - limited options, just about forgivable. Failure to adjust was bad too but then again at 4-0 down at HT you'd really need Ronaldo and Messi coming off the bench.
First goal was offside and an absolute fluke. Then a set piece and pretty much game over. Bad reaction though, nobody stepped up except Jack in bursts.

As I said in the other thread, it was a bit like the match against AC Milan a few years ago. Absolutely everything went wrong and we could do nothing right. A nothing performance at the wrong time. It's not as if Liverpool are a bogey team for us like Chelsea or United either. Just a horrible day at the office.
This result can be rendered irrelevant if we can forget it and win the next match as we have after other bad results this season. If a match against United doesn't focus the team, then maybe we haven't progressed that much after all.
