I never like playing a team in the league and then having to play them again in a cup. It just always feels like a bad omen.... Anyway, kill and destroy.....no fannying around if you please lads.
It is amazing to think that anyone fancied Monreal over Gibbs a short while ago. Don't think there are any of that view left! I know many think Arteta is hopeless but it shouldn't be forgotten that the best tried and tested combo this season has been the Arteta-Ramsey axis.....imo that is.
Ozil to come on to get him up to speed.

Yay - team is starting to take shape again. Players coming back. It's amazing to think injuries to all our top players affected our performances but, strange as it seems, that appears to be the case.
I think Giroud was atrocious before the goal, and he wasn't that great afterwards....we rule out the idea of playing Podolski up front because we think we need someone to hold up the ball, we really don't....all we need is a bit of pace on the flanks, Ox on the left...Rosicky on the right (still has the ability to motor forward on the break)...Cazorla in the middle....and all kinds of service to feed on.Quote:

No.....I think we rule it out because the several times he has played in the central role he has been absolutely woeful almost every time. Totally anonymous which is a risk we can't afford right now. Giroud is no Pele but he has scored 20 goals playing in that role and had games when he didn't score this season but still had a significant contribution with good assists.Quote:

Its kind of counter intuitive, but Pods has shown lately that maybe Wenger is right about him not playing enough to his potential to start. Because of Everton losing to palace. I think today will be the day that we will more or less wrap up 4th place. Not mathematically but psychologically. We beat Hull then two home games against a team on holiday and west brom
Apparently their fans want us to win today, because if we get top 4, they'll automatically get a Europa league spot.
They don't have much else to play for bar the final.
I thought they qualified already? 5th, 6th and FA Cup winners/runners up.
