Even with a recent (interrupted) string and a dubious Liverpool side I'm nervous
They're awful, but I don't trust us in 'big games'.
2-1 :(
0-3
Don't be silly.
0-4.
hoof 3-0 Arsenal
Liverpool are shocking right now, we really ought to be picking up a result here.
Lets hope we're not in a charitable mood. :rose:
I like to think it was us to got the ball rolling for Utd, as the only game they'd won in the previous 4 before they played us was Palace at home.
I'm sure we'll be nice enough to do the same for Liverpool, as it's the season of good will.
No need to thank us, Xibbles.
We will have 273% possession, 912 shots at goal, 1 shot on target (in the 93rd minute) and we'll lose 3-1 but will easily claim moral superiority.
Luckily I'll be at a carol service during the 2nd half of it so won't have to endure it although no doubts adzz will keep me updated so I'll get the misery by proxy <_<
:console:
good point about it being a Sunday, I've started going to a church where the main service is 4pm so often miss footy too (although I only have freeview telly anyway).
it's much less painful to be find out the result than endure it during the match :D
Yes, it's like ripping off a band-aid, better to get it over with
Look up result. Roll eyes. Tut. Repeat.
Could be another 4-4
3-0
we have sunk so low this season that i honestly wouldnt be surprised if liverpool thump us and kick on from there.
1-1 draw written all over it.
Skrtel for pool and Sanchez for us.
Chambers is back for this game right?
Does that mean we will get Chambers and Merts in CB and Debuchy RB?
I think Debuchy and Bellerin are our 2 best attacking fullbacks and we have missed that in recent times.
they have a tricky game tonight away at Bournemouth where they need to play their best players otherwise it will just pile more pressure on if they lose. They have no one who is scoring goals.
they only way I can see us conceding is from a corner or free kick. they are terrible. playing badly and no confidence.
we just had our best game of the season but we are away from home. so who knows.
we score first we will win. we concede first and we could implode as we chase the game in the 20th minute onwards.
0-2
We will do our bit for charity, like Man Utd and give them the boost they need, cos we're kind like that. 2-1 <_<
The ideal conditions, where have we seen this before?Quote:
they are terrible. playing badly and no confidence.
we just had our best game of the season
If we play the Giroud, Welbeck, Alexis triumvirate again I fancy us to get the better of them. It's a somewhat unusual forward line but it really seems to trouble defences....
Could be 5-0 to either side and I wouldn't be surprised.....
I'd be surprised if we beat them 5 nil!
Rogers compared sterling to Sanchez because he scored two goals :haha:
Oh look liverpool and sterling finding some form just before the game against us, it's all coming together for them to beat us.
Winning one game is form?
We're on form too!
Top of the form guide charts.
We've refused open invitations to ruin Spurs and United recently. I hope this won't be a third.
No doubt Oxlade and One Other will be out of the game to deplete our options to barely 10 outfield senior players. Even so, we should beat them on the basis they're actually worse than Spurs and United and we should have fucking killed those two.
They'll come at us like maniacs again from the start, but they haven't got their two most effective players from last season so if we can avoid capitulating, we should hopefully get a foothold and start controlling the game against a defence that is woeful no matter who plays. And we better test their keeper with constant shots and crosses because whoever it is, he's not very good at all.
I can see Balotelli scoring (if he is fit to play)
1-1 at best
Brad Jones is one of the poorest keepers I've seen in the league so hopefully he plays.
I think the "capitulate option" we have can be activated at any given moment, esp at a big ground where recent history isnt to kind to us. I think Liverpool are a shite side though and we really have to be worse than at Stoke to leave without at least a point. We have to start strongly and we simply cannot concede an early goal. Liverpool almost conceded to Bournemouth in the first few mins and it could have been a different game but they got the first goal and looked a lot better afterwards.
we have to stay disciplined and not lose our shape and i think we have the attacking players to test them.
head says 2-2, heart says 2-1.
I think we'll be much the better side, and lose by being incredibly stupid at key moments. In other words, the usual. Besides, if we don't kick off a Liverpool revival then who will? It's ridiculous considering the players we have, there should be any talk of any outcome other than a win. But the players don't do well in these games and the manager loses the plot completely. Our club motto should be Same Old, Same Old and Sunday will be more of it.
You cannot have confidence in any Arsenal side these days. Go into self destruct mode with alarming regularity.
