This is beyond a tragic joke.
Who's due to be injured tomorrow? We can keep up this pace for about another 10 days and then we'll have to start recalling players from loan if we are serious about achieving an injury a day until Christmas.
This is absurd.
Not a chance in hell of winning the league if this carries on, which it will of course.
Bad news.
But we know the deal now. We're missing players and have to regroup and get behind the players that go out onto the pitch. Plenty talk of woe which is easy to do and all those bases have been covered. A long way to go until the end of the season so either we cry about it for 6 months or get on with what we have, the best we can.
Fair enough, but at the end of the season let's remember Wenger's penny pinching and his bizarre interpretation of value in a league that has no concept of the word has left us desperately short. And he's done this year after year after year. We're all on his latest vision quest now, whether we like it or not.
So which is the next game / competition we're turning our noses up at and throwing so that we can win the premier league which we are definitely winning this year........
Ramsey back at CM tho
We're going to have loads of new signings in about 6 months.
Playing the long game
The funny thing is he was booked for the "foul" which led up to the injury
His own fault, he should have rushed over and shoved Alexis into a TV camera and the ref might have been more lenient.
There seems to be a general glossing over of how filthy Norwich actually were. It was like a switch. We were all over them, the switch was flicked and every good honest English tactic came flooding out.
Remember when Azzaaahhh (in fact do you remember Azzahhhh?) was the most fouled playa in the league and the commentators were contracted to say, "Azzzahhh is the most fouled playa in the league", every 5 minutes? Santi gets kicked from pillar to post every match, he's quite a tough little bastard really but eventually something had to break. Same with Alexis, the general rule is kick him. Refs do fuck all about it. They should both change their name to Azzahhh.
Not sure how I got there but was on that Ryan Bennett's twitter page, the GHEL who pushed Sanchez into the camera man.
He put out a statement on his page saying he didn't mean to push Sanchez, apparently he put his hands out and pushed him because he was trying to stop...
Actually I think that is the truth, as you can see by the position he stops in, slightly bent over with his hands out, trying to keep his balance, so he used Sanchez to stop his own momentum.
But that doesn't excuse how reckless it was and the damage it could've caused. If a player goes over the ball by accident and cracks someones ankle bone, accident or not, it deserves a red. So the same applies here, without question.
He's out for 3 months. :haha:
This is a blow, that's for sure.......what are we going to do.....ahhhhhhh
Rambo is back.....what are the time frames for the others?
Walcott this weekend apparently and Sanchez mid-December.
#longtermsolution
3 months is a huge blow, wonder if the ref still thinks it was worth a booking.
Injuries are not playing about this year, we simply cannot cope at this rate.
Not entirely related to this topic but on a serious note we're going to need to get our act together pretty fast in the league despite all of the injuries. Liverpool & Spurs aren't messing about this season, don't really fancy a 4th place scrap with either side this season TBH, Liverpool especially are starting to really worry me.
Fuck Spurs and Liverpool no hope of the title and they'll both scrap it out for fourth below us.
There can be no doubting the quality of their manager, I agree - although Sturridge will be injured again before too long, I'm sure.
I think we'll finish top 4 because that's what we do. But what worries me is our utter inability to capitalise on other teams' slip ups. Which is why we won't win the league.
Oh grow a pair will ya.
He'll be like a new signing next summer.
Chat shit get dead.
I guess the 500th deliberate kick ignored by the refs did the trick.
Well done the GHELs.
So now we'll have to buy in January and unless we get super lucky (Wenger's wallet can be prised open simultaneously with a decent player becoming available) we'll be bringing dross in as cover as nothing else will be available.
It was so OBVIOUS a mistake not to sign quality in this area of the pitch when we had a chance in the summer. Negligence not to do it. Injuries can't be used as an excuse this time around. We had the squad, we had the money to build a buffer against our usual injury crisis, he didn't do it. Skinflint's fault.
I think the frustrating thing is that while it was working, our MF was already a mix and match. Coquelin was almost a fortunate accident, and Santi had to adapt to a position that wasn't his own. A 'specialist' DM was the obvious choice, but the manager seems to prefer to gamble. Every time.
If he wants someone similar, lets get shaquiri from Stoke. He was fucking awesome the other day.
