I literally hold out no hope for us to get anything out of this game, United away with Maureen in charge of them means nil points. We'll lose 2-0.
With Alexis starting of course we have a very good chance.
But Chile and Alexis are going to fuck us over tonight. Even if he comes out without making it worse, do we take the risk of rushing him back and taking the risk of him breaking down?
Bout time we beat them and him. Come on lads.
3-0 loss for sure
Double for Ibra and one for Pogshit
I don't think Alexis has started the games following the 2 previous international breaks so far this season. Given this is an early kick off I doubt he will be risked, even if he comes through unscathed with Chile.
With Cazorla and Bellerin struggling too, we will do well to come out of this with a point IMO.
He was in the eleven against Swansea but a sub for Southampton. He was in the eleven after the one back in March too. It would've been nice to at least have the option to pick up but its likely he'll be borderline injured by the time he's back and might not even make the subs bench. Alexis has to take responsibility for taking this risk too. Midfield we can absorb losing Santi as we have recently and right back I don't think is massive given how average Utd's wide players are. Alexis is the biggest miss for me, it really affects our movement up top.
Playing with Giroud up top is like having a cardboard man up top. Pointless.
This is especially true with how Mourinho is going to set up shop.
Hoping for the best, fearing the worst.
Bit like a Trump presidency
Have absolutely no confidence that we will get anything from this game, so barring an absolute hammering i don't think i am preparing myself for anything but a small pang of disappointment.
And anything from a draw to a win will be a very welcome surprise.
I don't doubt for a second we have the players avaliable to us to get a positive result, i just don't think we have the guile....Mourinho will expect nothing else but a win.
2-0 Win for United Ibrahimovic and Pogba
With Arsenal i have trained myself not to care, it's ultimately a win-win.
I'm not being a doom merchant, we are totally capable of getting a good result at Old Trafford....but chances will be at a premium for us and even l'ouisseau has expressed concern that we seem to lack composure in front of goal.
Plus ultimately i don't give Arsenal anything currently by way of finances, and i give them far less of my time than at any time in the last 15-20 years....therefore i don't expect much in return, if we win and give a good performance especially against a team of equal or even greater resources/ability than i'm happy if we lose or fail to win it won't profoundly impact on my mood the way it used to.
If we beat a Mourinho team i'll air punch like the best of them, if we lose i might feel a pang of disappointment and feel negatively about the rest of the season but i'll get on with my day.
This match is EXACTLY the reason I want Wenger gone from the club. A supposed top club shouldnt be feeling like they cant get a result against a team barely functioning, but here we are.. no enthusiasm and confidence in the team. Everyone knows our weaknesses and we will most likely succumb to those weaknesses too. Kind of like a slow moving car crash.
0-4.
United could be missing quite a few players. Fellaini, Shaw and Rooney are all struggling, while it's already confirmed that Bailly, Smalling and Valencia are out. Zlatan suspended too.
Though after what happened last season with the patched up team we faced, our minds will probably still turn to mush regardless of who plays for them.
Never underestimate the lows Arsenal can reach!
If rooooooooooooooooooooooooooneh!! gets a game he'll probably have the game of his life against us what with him being in the press for misbehaving, although I notice a lot of people are excusing him for getting rat arsed. Imagine if that had been Jack!
We're going to send this lot to the fucking cleaners.
Bellerin out for a month. Confirmed.
:ilt:
Is it an actual injury or is it a Wenger injury because he was overheard in training saying he'd like to play for Barcelona or under Pep Guardiola one day?
Shows we have a clear deficiency in the full back positions
Jenkinson, Debauchery and Monreal shouldn't be at the club (if Wenger plays Monreal against PSG we are asking for a hammering)
Gibbs is ok, he links up the attacks well and has been better at dealing with attacks on the right hand side than Monreal but arguably he isn't a first choice full back.
Bellerin is fantastic but we need a competent understudy for him.
3-1. Last season up there was a car crash, we always find a way to lose at OT.
Not so sure we'll lose.
Wenger might go for a Monreal-Gabriel-Kos-Mustafi mix at the back, instead of Jenks.
Where is Debuchy?
Weird how he's been completely frozen out.
Ibra is suspended for this game. United appear to have more injury probs than we do. Draw is probably the best we can hope for considering our previous records against both United and Mourhino. Desperately hoping for a win though
Theo may be out of this match as his wife is expecting a baby.
Last time Jenks played at OT we lost 8-2...
Jose Mourinho: "I think Mr. Wenger has respect from others. I don’t think I have. My last league title was 18 months ago, not 18 years ago.”
He's crying again.
God I hope we win this.
