First league game in three weeks, first game where most of the first team will play in two and a half weeks, first game of any kind for 12 days
Wenger appears to have used this time to try and scramble himself onto more solid footing
Win on Saturday tea time and the shellshocked Wenger of 15 days ago is forgotten, and the robust, defiant Wenger who believes in his own infallibility returns.
Can't see us winning. To do that we'd have to turn up which is something we seldom do against the top sides.

I can see us nicking this 2-1.
If we lose, i think we can start making the argument that Wenger has maybe even lost the ability to get the results needed to get the board what they desire.

Leaving aside the most obvious outcome, that being the ref doing something stupid to gift the match to one team or the other, neither of these teams has a defence so it could be high scoring. 3-2, a coin toss as to who gets the win. Liverpool are one of the few teams that can pull off stupider shit defensively than us, maybe, maybe that will swing it our way.
They are awful defensively but very decent going forward and very good in the big games. We are not great in any area and are awful in the big games. I'll be amazed if we get anything out of this game. I think we'll lose 3-1.
Henderson out for us, and apparently Ozil out for you lot.

Hopefully Lovren will be back. Anything is better than Lucas at the back, I dread to think what someone like Walcott or Sanchez would do to him.
Walcott would run past/round him with ease. Of course he'd then run the ball straight out for a goal kick. Or a throw in. On the other hand Sanchez vs Lucas is appealing, that scenario might see us nick a point in a high scoring draw. Lovren plays instead of Lucas and it's 4-1 PoolQuote:

Liverpool always turn up in these big games and our lot freeze. We won't be able to pass properly, we will be under pressure from the off and as usual none of the big players will turn up.
There is nothing to look forward to anymore with this manager and team, there won't be a change in tactics/personnel/approach and the in form players will be benched.
Ozil is a racing driver stuck in a hillbilly tractor derby. Like any racing driver, he likes his glamour and the high life but also, like any racing driver, give him a decent car and you'll see some results. He seemed up for that challenge at the start of the season when he'd bulked himself up a bit and was starting to get stuck in. But it has all tailed away. Wenger can't use him, never could, never will be able to. What Wenger has built here is no longer compatible with the world's top players. Either it's our shitty, negative, plodding football or the fact we won't pay the wages for the top stars. If Ozil wants anything else from his career he'll have to go elsewhere (and I bet you anything he'll shine bright). Same with Alexis, if he wants to extract maximum return for the efforts he puts into his game then this isn't the place for him.Quote:
