Szczesny is definitely not shit. Sure, he made a few mistakes last season but he also made some fantastic stops, especially against Tottenham and Bolton near the end of the season. I wouldn't worry about him being our number 1 keeper to be honest, there are other areas that need more urgent attention.
I agree that the other two keepers are shit though, so perhaps a backup keeper is needed.

If AW buys Gordon, then its the end of fabianski and Alumnia or Almunia and Don Vito. TBH Gordon is not that bad, would deffo be good competition for the youngen
Don't be surprised to see Almunia line up as no. 1 on the first day of the season. This is Wenger after all.
I can't imagine any other manager in the world would have not replaced him last summer. And here we sit yet again with El Poodle still at the club.
Almunia is hanging around like a bad smell because no one is desperate enough to take a punt. Bit like Bendtner and Denilson really.
If we don't buy a proper keeper this summer then what does it matter who starts? I suppose Chesney should get the nod so he's one year closer to being fit to wear the #1 shirt for a (supposedly) top flight team.
