Think it will happen.
No.
It's a worry we're not being linked with anybody else. Central midfield needs addressing.
I'm sure we could get him for £50m but whether he's any good is another matter.
Lemar is the last one standing and Monaco have to completely rebuild their team regardless, so they might just think fuck it and sell him.
What we're doing is watching another, "We tried for him last year but now the price is too high", saga unfolding. In this crazy marketplace we have the most unsuitable manager in the world running the show. He still thinks his view of what represents value has some bearing on the market. It doesn't. It just means we're always last to the table.
Why hasn't Ramsey been told to stop it with the headless chicken act? He has no tactical awareness. Someone needs to sit down with him and go through a replay showing him how he's leaving our centre so exposed. It completely unbalances the team when he's in midfield.
Hope it doesn't happen.
From what i saw of him i thought he was a quality player. Is he what we need to challenge for the title? no. What we need is a proper DCM.
Looks like it will be close to the 80mill then. And we won't pay that.
Cue the Mahrez rumours.
We're a bunch of clueless clowns in the transfer market anyway, we have no idea how to conduct business properly and get deals done, it's painfully slow and a tiresome saga we have to endure every single summer, the club takes all the joy out of the excitement of transfers.
Monaco's players were available for transfer when City and Chelsea were involved, the minute we get involved we put in scatter gun bids for a player they are hell bent on not selling to us.
This will end up being another wasted window where we don't improve the squad, we are trying to get rid of a lot of junk in the squad and we can't even get rid of them, it wouldn't be so bad but we are literally giving these players away and yet they are still not moving. The whole thing is one big mess.
If we miss out on Lemar? Ok but make sure we snag Mahrez instead
Lemar staying at Monaco apparently, that's that then, good job Wenger:

Silva's gone I thought? Back to Brazil?
Thought Campbell was gone too. Was that only a loan then? Poor bastard, he must be dreading coming back.
Wilshere to West Ham sounds like it might be real. If they agree to pay 9 mill for our future England captain.
Sounds like we've fucked all possibility of Lemar coming here. Playing the underbid game and waiting until the chavs and gypos had done their business didn't work out well for us. Big surprise. We wouldn't have Lacazette either, were it not for a transfer ban on the club he wanted to go to.
Alexis should be back now, so the fun and games will really start. Probability of this window resulting in Lacazette in/ Alexis out is increasing all the time. If that's how we end up it'll have to be qualified as yet another disastrous window. If this is the new and invigorated team in action, I'm not impressed.

Yeah, Campbell was just a loan.Quote:
Arsenal re-sign Wellington Silva from Fluminense but fail to move him onto Bordeaux after he fails medical
Always funny thinking back to all the academy prospects we had high hopes for.
We don't half stockpile some shite. Like most of the top clubs these days I guess.
Chelsea have 87 players on loan, none of which will ever play for their first team.
Problem seems to be we can't get rid of the shite we stockpile, Gibbs, Jenkinson, Walcott, Wellbeck, Coquelin, Chambers, Gabriel, Debuchy, Silva (won't include Campbell as he's decent but isn't given a chance), they're all on such high wages and most clubs can see they are average, so nw we're stuck with a huge wagebill because of players like this.....terrible management of transfers/players all round to be honest.
some reports Lemar deal is still on, hope this happens would be good to get someone else in, still reckon we need a CB and DCM (latter is very unlikely though with Xhaka in there).
You dismiss Welbeck but think Joel Campbell is decent??
I think Welbeck is frustrating at best as a goal scorer, but his technical ability and contribution to play well exceeds that of Joel Campbell.
I'm not doing Campbell down, but if Wellbeck isnt Arsenal quality, Joel Campbell certainly isn't
Jean Michel Serri would be a good signing, because it's obvious the player we missed most last season was Santi Cazorla
Someone who can control play in the middle of the park and create.
Exceeds? Nah.
Danny has the strength and work rate but not the technical ability. He can be very clumsy on the ball. Joel is a much better dribbler and passer. He's more creative plus he's always restricted to playing out on the wing.

Both have their strengths and weaknesses but I have no idea why Joel has never had the sort of run in the team Danny has had.
Campbell
He's good but he's no Sessegnon.
Last thing we need. Another featherweight midget. No matter how gifted the guy is (and I don't know much about him) we need to get away from Wenger's shitball and back to proper football. Santi's a great player, but because he's so good he compensated for Wenger's crackpot bullshit and at times made it appear Wenger has a clue what he's doing. As soon as Santi was gone our football collapsed into this sideways, backwards nightmare that is the full limit of Wenger's genius.
Powerful, high energy player required in there. Somebody who can compete and take the knocks.
Joel Campbell is eons ahead of Walcott in terms of footballing ability. Quite why we have stuck with a player with the worst first touch in football history is puzzling.
Campbell isn't better than Walcott. You lot are nuts.
