I fucking hate this fixture.
Mainly because it doesn’t matter how good or bad we play, we just can’t beat them at Old Trafford.
Come on Unai.

Everything is set for us to get done here midweek.
Home ties against Huddersfield and Carrier Bag to come so no excuses not to go all out. Xhaka will be a miss.
Eh?
LET'S TWAT THESE TWATS!
United are garbage but we always seem to make them look good. We have gone their with better teams than our current one and in really good form and still lost.
Honestly think the best we can hope for here is a draw, I think we will lose though.
On current form we should beat them but Manure always seem to have a habit off ending our winning streaks :(
I'm more positive but it is always tough place to go no matter how filthy bad they are. They will obviously step their game up significantly which they will need to otherwise they will be beat.
There's not much time between yesterday's game and Wednesday though so I wonder if we might suffer for it. Our CB options are obviously being stretched and Mustafi might not be able to play anyway.
I think it will be a draw but would be over the moon if we beat them. On a personal level I've always found them the most detestable one of our rivals.
Would be fine with a draw. Winning at Old Trafford is about as rare as it gets for us.
We are better than them though and have been at various points since Fergie left. I just hope this is the game we finally get a result to go with a performance against them.
Only concern is how gassed we might be after yesterday.
Who`s the ref. Very, very critical, if you thought the Spuds know how to dive......
as history will tell us, we struggle at OT and the occasion gets to the players. however, this is a new team and manager, fresh of a huge win as well. I know we won't buckle and I know we will be prepared tactically and Emery will tell them exactly what to expect.
would be happy with a draw.
I dont see why we cannot win this fixture. History can be thrown out of the window because our recent history was under different management. I am cautiously optimistic that we can beat them comprehensively. We just got to pray that non-football pubbers like Fellaini, Lukaku and the likes dont foul their way out of this and score an unlikely goal in the 90th minute.
Mourinho will be Mourinho and set them up defensively to play on the counter even though they're at home. So tactically it will be completely different to any of the other big teams we've faced and it will be interesting to see how Emery handles it.
It would be brilliant to get a win but realistically a draw at Old Trafford would be a good result.
Been scarred one too many times from this fixture to be confident enough of winning it. They've been at a lower ebb than this before and still managed to turn up on the day.
Nervous but excited too because the history of failure in this fixture doesn't come with Emery.
COYG!
4 of our next 11 league games are United away, Liverpool away, Chelsea at home and Manchester City away.
Need to play the same team and formation that beat Spuds with Mikhi or Ramsey in for Xhaka. Either has to be told to stay solid and dovetail with Torr. Keep it solid for the 1st half which should see the Utd fans get on Mourinho's back by half time. No desperate tackles in the box. 9 out of 10 PL refs need no invitations to award them a pen. Young, Rashford, Herrera all serial divers. Don't give them an excuse.
We can do this. The Spuds beat them at OT didn't they.?
One thing going for us this time is that the manager and a lot of the players that have featured in the starting XI won’t be carrying any Old Trafford baggage or mental hang ups into this game.
Leno, Sokrates, Torreira and Guendouzi will definitely be heading into this fixture with a clean slate, as will Emery himself, and I’m not sure how much exposure Holding, Iwobi and Kolasinac will have had there in the past? Probably not enough to scar them.
Did Auba and Laca feature for us at OT last year? Can’t remember, but even if they did, it will have been their one and only game for us there (and to be fair we gave a pretty damn good account of ourselves that day with a veeeeery youthful side).
The only players who might have been having a few sleepless nights over this one will be Bellerin, Özil, Mkhi, Ramsey and maybe Mustafi (and I’d say there’s a fair chance that 2 or 3 of them won’t start)...
BT's programme is on in a couple of minutes.
Adams, Ferdinand and Scholes are in the studio.
Pogba and Lukaku on the bench.
Man Utd: De Gea, Dalot, Bailly, Smalling, Rojo, Darmian, Herrera, Matic, Lingard, Rashford, Martial.
Subs: Romero, Valencia, Fellaini, Mata, McTominay, Pogba, Lukaku.
Ozil  what a bitch
Fellaini will definitely come on and score or cause havoc.
need a fast start, Man u know we start slow and they basically beat us within 30 minutes last season and defended for the rest of the game.
come on boys.
Adams is such a dinosaur. Is it any wonder he’s been a useless manager?
United play their best football in the big games so, despite the line-up, this will be a really tough game.
I hope Ramsey helps out in the middle when required and doesn't play exclusively up front.
Probably Gwen Doozy's biggest test so far.
Michael Dawson predicts a Man Utd win. :faint:
Still dont know what Emery sees in Iwobi
must contain that utd front three, them kids are so jammy and could cause us real problems
Utd have made it clear they want to hump balls in behind our full backs.
Darmian.
Having the customary first half difficulty in playing it out from the back.
Rashford hammers it, straight at Leno.
Guendouzi rubber legs.
Ramsey with the hoof.
Socrates.
Great tackle.
Leno saves easily from Martial.
our bo gwen needs to calm down and hold his position
