Mind the gap!
Just give us the trophy now.
Champions Elect Tbh.
didn't expect it to be that easy when i saw the lineup but almost everyone played well - Willian and Gabriel look like great signings, adding real quality
would give them all an 8/10 or more, except Xhaka who really is showing his limitations in a team that's gone up a couple of notches
I'd like to see Dani partnering with Elneny in the next game
Noice
Excellent. The kind of result you would think we should be able to expect (but far too often in the past, have been denied). It's very exciting to have a full year under Arteta to look forward to, hopefully armed with maybe another high quality addition.
Many things to be positive about but certainly confirmation that we have defensive solidity, clarity of how we want to play, a drive to play aggresively for 90 minutes (even when leading), and a team who values hard work and effort - rather than just silky skills. Whether we have the players we need for top 4 remains to be seen, but how we approach games and how we execute is worthy of it.
Bigger challenges await, but I am pleased.
Great result to celebrate my return to the same time zone.
Everyone played well really. A very professional performance, apart from that early AMN hospital pass.
Gabriel and Holding cleared everything and were basically playing attacking midfield in the second half.
Bellerin with another excellent performance now that he's fully fit and sharp again.
Tierney with another effortless Tierney 9/10 performance.
Only disappointing thing was the lack of +1s.
Fair play to Gabriel - plenty of Arsenal defenders would have gone to pieces after that early mistake, but to come storming back with a MOTM performance speaks really well of his character and temperament. Fast, strong and won absolutely everything in the air - no wonder his hairline is already receding!
What’s got into Holdinho?! Where’d that come from?
Really pleased with how much better we looked going forward with just two additions - thought we looked really fluid at times today.
Glad to see the inverted fullbacks making a return - those midfield overloads make us a different beast, and I didn’t think Fulham knew who to track when Bellerin and AMN drove inside.
Tougher games to come, but these are exactly the games that we needed to improve in so this is really encouraging.

Didn't watch beyond the first few minutes because it was boring, backwards, sideways shit and cheating is so seamlessly meshed into the game. Football is dead. Don't care if we won or lost because, either way, it wasn't done in the spirit of sport. Add to that, no crowd, the cowardly players grovelling at the start of the match (every one of them, NOT A SINGLE PLAYER HAD A SET OF BALLS), restrictive marketing deals that make you spend a fortune to watch a game - EVEN WHEN YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO GO TO THE GAMES!
Fuck it. It's gone. Dead.
No.
I like how you used a full stop
And I might even take you up on it. Been thinking about Cambridge Utd, which is viable in terms of travel. But it still works out to be a fortune for a father and son to attend one game. Excluding the fact you can't actually attend. Don't know how those clubs are surviving at all.
Arsenal can only throw it away now.
That Hector for Fulham is a nasty player. He was trying to stamp on the player after each tackle. He was trying to make it look innocent - not looking where he was stamping his foot so if he did catch the other player, he could make out it was accidental. He just knows that he will get the occasional hit.
This is a technique that Fellaini and others use with the flailing arms, elbowing the other player. Same method - you always swing your elbow without looking. You know that the chances are you will often catch the opponent but since you weren't looking, you get away with it. Very cynical and unpleasant.
Nice and straight forward 3 points. Bread and butter if we want to get back into the top 4.
Really happy with Gabriel and Willian.
Only just got round to finding this - Ceballos

In England this is bravery and honesty.
This is why I don't mind card-waving or exaggerating contact when it's necessary. Officials let this sort of stuff go right next to the incident and don't seem to have the nous to know which players are clearly repeat-offending thugs who should be punished.
Card-waving is more harmful to an opponent than stamps, elbows, needless shoves and barging them into the hoardings apparently.
Yeah, leave poor Hector alone! He was just being honest.
If you’re not careful, you could end up hurting his feelings and making him feel bad! Do you want another Ryan Shawcross on your conscience? DO YOU?!! It has to stop.
yeah it's like poor ol' Sonofabitch who's always so honest and upset after he breaks someone's leg, there's no way he meant to go in studs-up like that on several occasions...
Exactly! I mean, they may have gone out with the intention of deliberately hurting someone, but that doesn’t mean they meant to hurt them. It certainly doesn’t mean they wanted anyone to make them feel bad about it afterwards!
If you think about it, these guys are the real victims here.
