It’s fair to say that the international break came at the right time for us, although losing Ben White is certainly not a welcome turn of events. Can only therefore hope that Calafiori is back fit before too long so that he can slot in at left back and Timber on the right.


It’s fair to say this isn’t a side brimming with confidence, too many players not wanting to take shots on. Despite their defeat to Newcastle, Forest will defend robustly and make look to exploit us on the counter. So beating them will be tough, but will hopefully lay down a marker that we can get past teams that are compact and defend deep.

A clean sheet would also be nice

I hope we win, tbh.

After the Chelsea game I actually felt a bit better despite us slipping 2 points further back. It was a decent result (although in the context of the overall run, possibly not good enough), Odegaard was back and by all accounts it was a better performance. We need a good win in this one and go on a good run up to Christmas, which we are certainly capable of given the fixtures. Do that and Liverpool drop a few points - as they surely will start to soon - and we could be back in contention at the start of the year.


...or we could lose in which case #ArtetaOut.

We have scored the first goal on 58 occasions, conceded the first goal on 30 occasions

Sounds like most of the minerly-injured - Saka, Rice, Leo and Califiori - will be available

Feels like Nwaneri should also get minutes in this one though, if only as a sub

Doesn’t sound like we are in too bad a place with injuries then (with exception of White of course)

Giving Nwaneri actual minutes rather than just the back end of a game would be helpful because it’s clear that we don’t have a better alternative if Odegaard gets injured again (though hopefully he won’t). Although I’m still of the mind to play Saka centrally and Jesus on the right in such an eventuality

Apparently Rice is on the bench today.

Who knows if that is true.

Interesting lineup.

Trossard currently doesn't deserve to start any match, but let's see if he can rediscover some form with Odegaard back.

Not having Partey or Rice in the midfield is a bit worrying though.

Jesus needs a good day here. Big opportunity for him considering he has no business in the starting 11 of a league game.

God knows what to make of that line up though, hope it doesn’t backfire.

Haven't won in four so it's reasonable to change it but the ones coming in have done fuck all to warrant it really.

Jorginho rarely lets us down though, so not thinking of him here.
