Are you seriously going to pick Chamakh?
Also Letters has managed to do ™ ONCE in his time here, but suddenly he's playing the the CL?
I'm out for the season.
Diaby again.
This is on the agenda now. Me as CM.
I'll be the assistant manager :patrice:
Will NQ and Chamakh put their differences aside for the good of the team?
If I don't recover in time (Wenger said ten days, but I rounded up), MO will need to step in.
Although you'll now have a bog-standard water-carrier rather than a silky, gloriously gifted playmaker.
Or we could loan Rors from the Villa reserves, as McLeish will never utilise flair players.
Didnt even make the bench :get coat:
Flappyhandski
Santos Miquel Squid Jd
Arshavin, Coq, Frimpong, AOC
Ju Chamachk
0-3
Can't have Santos travelling, let alone playing. Stick some other pub teamer there. Yennaris at RB and Djourou at LB?
If fit, both Rosicky and Benayoun must start instead of Chamakh and Arshavin.
Looking forward to this and to the other English teams fucking up
Have we ever won in Greece?
Nah they can still earn coefficient points being in the Europa League (Stoke are doing us proud in that one). And like MS intimated, the coefficents are amassed over the previous five seasons. Look at 2005/2006, apart from us it was a pretty awful competition for the English sides yet we haven't even come close to going down to three Champions League places.
Same team that started the City game I would have thought.
Dench man.
FabianskiQuote:
Eighteen players have been selected for Tuesday night's Champions League tie against Olympiacos.
Squad (in alphabetical order):
Andrey Arshavin
Yossi Benayoun
Marouane Chamakh
Francis Coquelin
Johan Djourou
Craig Eastmond
Lukasz Fabianski
Emmanuel Frimpong
Vito Mannone
Ignasi Miquel
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Oguzhan Ozyakup
Ju Young Park
Tomas Rosicky
Andre Santos
Sebastien Squillaci
Thomas Vermaelen
Nico Yennaris
Djourou Miquel Squillaci Santos
Frimpong Coquelin Rosicky
Oxface Chamakh Arshavin
Sensible squad to take. Good to see Rosicky isn't completely dead.
Diaby though. :rose:
We'll win and win, well
Right I think I'm up to speed on our group table. I think if we win and Dortmund win, Olympiakos still go through unless we and/or Dortmund win by a few. If we draw or lose and marseille win, marseille are through and olympiakos are out. Best case scenario: we win andDortmund narrow win such that olympiakos go through....and then the away fans should be celebrating with the Greeks at the final whistle. Hope our players bother with this - wouldn't really be fair on marseille if we didn't out up a fight.
We'll play very well but lose 1-0.
2-1 to the Arse.
AOC to score the first, Chamakh with a career saving overhead volley to piss of NQ.
Come on DortmundQuote:
Arsenal have qualified for the last 16 as group winners.
•Marseille will progress to the last 16 if they win at Borussia Dortmund on matchday six. They will also go through as long as they match Olympiakos' result against Arsenal.
•Olympiakos can only advance to the last 16 if they beat Arsenal and Marseille lose at Borussia Dortmund. A draw will be enough if Marseille lose by exactly 2-0*, or by three goals or more.
* Based on criteria vi. of the tie-breaker, Olympiakos will qualify by having scored more goals in all group games as goal difference will be levelled.
•Borussia Dortmund will only make the last 16 if they beat Marseille by four goals or more and Olympiakos lose to Arsenal. Dortmund can move above Marseille but cannot leapfrog Olympiakos if all three teams finish level on points.
Yeah what's with that? It's like he can't seperate his legs when he needs to shoot.
Couldn't give a stuff about this game tbh. Might keep an eye on it.
Well I can't wait for the game and I'll be making detailed notes in preparation for an epic post in the match reaction thread.
