Arshavin should have the ability to do these things, especially against a second-string Reading, but we had to rely on a twelve year-old to calm the game down and make us look somewhat like a functioning football team. Eisfeld seems to have made his name as a finisher for the reserves, but he showed he's got an all-round game tonight. Hopefully he gets some more chances in the team. We could do with players who can execute the basics effectively at the moment.
Giroud was everywhere when he came on too. Made us penetrative up front and linked the midfield and forwards. Defensively (relatively) good too.
Credit to Jenkinson for doing an impression of Sagna v Spurs from last season too. A player who for some reason actually cares about putting in a genuine shift every game despite getting paid handsome amounts of money.
