Not really. I'd prefer it if we transformed Walcott into one of the world's leading strikers and then sold him to you cheap. However I'm not sure if that could work as you might not be prepared to pay a low price.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: this team doesn't need to buy more good players, we have a fuck load of them. What this team needs to improve is great players, £30m players. This is where I agree with Wenger that there's no point in just buying decent players, we need super super quality. We need an Aguero, RVP, Silva etc etc

If I were Wenger I'd be trying to get rat face Modric who's not setting the world alight at Real. Or try and get Cesc on loan who's not playing every game at Barca. If we're tying to get Villa this is a good sign (but of course we wont get him). They're the quality of players we should be going after not Remy who cant get a game at Marseille where Joey Barton is considered their best player!

We would all like to sign Messi but he is not for sale. It is not easy to sign Arteta. We should spend big I agree, but who is there to buy? Nobody. I believe we should warm to the idea of bringing players in once the transfer window is closed.

I think plenty of people wanted M'Vila but his attitude has raised doubts. We've had a few players like that in the past, why not take the risk now. He was thought of as potentially world class.

We would all like to sign Messi but he is not for sale. It is not easy to sign Arteta. We should spend big I agree, but who is there to buy? Nobody. I believe we should warm to the idea of bringing players in once the transfer window is closed.

I only want us to sign Messi to be honest, not interested in us signing anyone else.

Does seem a bit odd that no decent club has taken a punt on him. If he's got quality but a bad attitude surely moving to a big club will go some way to fix it? At £7m it seems worth the risk seeing as we don't have a DM in the squad. I'd rather have quality and bad attitude than the other way round.

Cantona had a bad attitude before he went to Utd and he turned out ok. Lots of players have bad attitudes. John Terry is vermin but he is/was a bloody good defender.
