ARSENAL are weighing up a January swoop for Real Madrid outcast Esteban Granero.

The 24-year-old Spaniard has been largely a fringe player since Jose Mourinho took charge at the Bernabeu, appearing just 17 times last season.

Granero has featured just twice this term and faces competition in midfield from the likes of Sami Khedira, Mesut Ozil and Xabi Alonso.

The Gunners have lost Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby to long-term injuries already recently and Marca claims boss Arsene Wenger has spoken to Mourinho about a £6million move.

Too be honest our presence at the Dortmund game coukd have been that we are still to play them borh in the CL but I would like to think that our scouts ciuld have been there for a serious casing of Goetz becayse he wiuld be a great buy and I am glad to see is being mentioned again with tbis guy

Me too, the boy will be world class in the next few years, he's well on his way now.
