Can't wait to see it!
Also looking forward to American Reunion for nostalgic reasons. Loved the first 2 American Pie films.

Spiderman and Dark Knight to come as well.
2012.
What a year.
Before you see The Avengers Lettuce, you should try and watch Hulk, Iron Man 1&2, Thor and Captain America first.
The Cabin In The Woods:
About half-way through the film, it feels a bit like a missed opportunity. The post-modern twists and jokes work to an extent, but the two sides of the film don't necessarily merge too well. Then the film goes completely mental in the second half and just becomes a ridiculously over-the-top circus of silliness and blood, very much in the vein of Sam Raimi's and Peter Jackson's early work. Therefore, very entertaining, if you appreciate that kind of thing.
The Avengers:
About as good as you could expect really, with so many story strands to tie together and so many different fan-bases to appeal to. It sags a bit in the middle, but picks up again at the end for some great set-pieces. The films in this Marvel universe have been quite lighthearted (well, apart from The Incredible Hulk) and this seems to have even more of the 'crowd-pleasing' moments, which can sometimes spoil the tone. Strangely, Black Widow appears to have more screen-time than any of the main characters, especially Thor and Hulk, who are underused. Other than that though, it's huge fun while it lasts and when the action and destruction kicks in and with Hulk going apeshit, it's basically every comic you read and every cartoon you saw as a kid blown up to a huge scale.

Saw II:
Bit fucked up. Very entertaining, if you appreciate that kind of thing.
A bit of a shame Edward Norton wasm't re-cast as The Incredible Hulk in the Avengers, no?
