    Essentially, it's water vapour and nicotine.

    Nicotine has risks, but it's not cancer-causing. It's more risk to your blood pressure...though no more so than caffeine. Some scientists actually think pure nicotine is quite good for us, as it does something to break down fats in the blood (hence the old smoking keeps the weight off thing).

    I don't think the e-cig has been rubber-stamped by anyone yet...and it is far better than smoking....think it was just my own personal choice to avoid them, as wanted rid of any and all links to ciggies.

    I still wish I could smoke, tbf....though I never will again. Unless they make a really healthy version!

    My dad smoked for 30 odd years, very proud of him when he gave it up. Wasn't easy.
