Thing is, he is second tier. For Spain.I don't think the curse will work this time. He in particular is the fulcrum through which all their play seems to go. A far-cry from the 'second level' tier signing I had him down as on these very pages this time last year

There was also that elbow in one of the matches - can't remember which - where the player ended up with a bloody nose. The defender knew damn well he was there before he threw his arm back to 'accidentally' hit him. That was a blatant defender professional foul and should have been dealt with. Of course, if it was one of our defenders, the player would have had a retrospective red card and 3 match ban imposed.
*Edit Tamas (West Brom) was the defender, James Vaughan (Norwich) was the victim.

Yup Vaughan was left a bloody mess, in fact I think he requires facial surgery from it.
