Probably would have been Cesc had he not left, but he did. Oh well.

Stewart Robson claims Arsene Wenger is scared to spend ‘big money’ this summer – because he will be accountable if his acquisitions flop.
The Gunners have failed to replace some of the their top stars over the last few seasons, having let Robin van Persie, Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas all leave the Emirates in recent years.
And former Highbury favourite Robson believes the Frenchman needs to splash the cash when the transfer window opens, if the north London club are to have any chance of winning the Premier League trophy next term.
“If Arsene Wenger goes out and spends big money, say he buys three big players, then he is then culpable when they don’t succeed,” he told the Sports Bar.
“All the time that he is selling players and not spending big, when they come fourth, everyone says ‘Arsenal are doing OK because they are not spending what the other clubs spend’.
“As soon as he spends big money Arsenal fans and everyone in the media will expect them to compete for the Premier League and the Champions League.
If Arsene Wenger goes out and spends big money, say he buys three big players, then he is then culpable when they don’t succeed
    — Stewart Robson
“If he doesn’t do that then he puts himself under pressure and that’s why he doesn’t spend. There’s been money there for years.
“They’ve got a chance [to win the Premier League] but they’ve got to spend some money wisely.
“Arsenal have got to make sure that Arsene Wenger, in my view, coaches the players better and gets a better understanding of what it takes to win the title.
“Although they had an excellent run towards the end of the season, I still saw flaws in their game.
“I don’t think Arsene Wenger has learnt his lesson from one season to the next. We’ve heard this for so many years, ‘If Arsenal can get into the Champions League then next year will be the year' but we’ve been hearing this for the last six or seven years.”
And Robson went on to claim that, should Arsenal not taste success next season, the Frenchman’s position at the helm would come under serious pressure.
“If you’re an average club then you need continuity because you can’t keep getting rid of players when a new manager comes in,” he added.
“I know we’ve seen Sir Alex Ferguson stay at Man United for a long time and get that continuity and be successful, but look at other big clubs, look at Chelsea. They have sacked their manager many, many times and are still successful and Man City have won trophies in recent years.
“Arsenal have kept their manager and kept continuity, but continuity of being just above average at the moment.
“That can’t be right. So at some point Arsene Wenger has got to change or the club have got to change Arsene Weneger and this has to be the season.”

    Robson is a twat.
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.

You said "say what you like about him", so I did

He talks sense about it being Wengers last chance, and that if we're still stagnating at the end of his contract, it shouldn't be renewed. I think everyone gets that.

The rest of it is nonsense though.

Bitter twat. One minute he's slagging the club for not spending, now he's pre-slagging in case we spend. Sounds like he's unsettled we may have some cash this year and could challenge his beloved AnyoneButArsenal FC
