Didn't say he was shit, said he was inconsistent and lacks some very basic skills. We can't afford players who deliver a decent performance once in ten games, that's the luxury I refer to. As you know.
When I think luxury item, I'm thinking designer clothes, flash cars and excessive shit a guy on my salary has no business buying. If you think Theo is shit then he's not a luxury player, is he?

A 'decent' performance every so often isn't a luxury.
We have far worse culprits that give that level of performance and I wouldn't call it a luxury.
I agree, we have players that are even worse than Walcott. Didn't say we don't. Would be nice to have a decent winger who can pass and cross, that's all. Or a basic/ staple if you prefer.

It means he's a bog standard, average player in a privileged role. Stick an accomplished player in there and those numbers rocket.
