Started on Roy Hattersley's 'Who Goes Home'? - Scenes From A Political Life'. Inevitably, I read it in his voice...

I'm surprised you could read it all, did you have to dry it out between sessions?

Peter F Hamilton, Great North Road, but painfully bloody slowly

    The Sun.

Apparently we have signed some pubber called Yaya. Depressing reading, don't recommend it.

    The Jungle Book

Hmm. Not as good as the film. The two bare almost no relation to each other apart from both being set in a jungle and the character names being the same. In the book Kaa the snake is one of the heroes of the piece. Also, most of it is other stories not featuring characters in the film.

Society is now one polished horde
Formed by two mighty tribes, the bores and the bored.

"After all, it was the Gunners’ goalkeeper who started the move that culminated in Thomas’ crowning glory. It was Lukic who, in injury time, decided to throw the ball out to Lee Dixon rather than lump it long..."
