basically there is a 6 year old kid with terminal cancer who Jack has taken to his heart and helped visit him, provide tickets etc to games for him and had his family round for bbqs. the older brother of the ill child has been beaten up and bullied cos of it and Jack heard about this and went up to visit him and took him to play football in the place where he was beaten up. Jack always rings them to find out how the ill child and his brother are doing and generally goes out of his way to help

One of my dad's friends died from a brain tumour years ago, he was an Arsenal fan and I know some of the players of the time visited him when he was in hospital. I don't know how that was arranged. Footballers are generally unlikeable cocks these days, it's nice to know some of them use their ludicrous amounts of free time to brighten someone's day.
