Is that our spending? It might go even higher if we really want Ince, but hopefully we don't. hopefully our wage bill will look a bit healthier though.

Depends on many things. Whether we bother to start putting money aside for Anfield, if we have any major players leaving and the massively unlikely chance we finish 4th. But it does put pay to the BS that FSG won't spend anymore.

Well I don't think they'd have been as giving had they not hesitated/blocked buying Dempsey, but I wouldn't be surprised if we had a nett spend of about £20-30m in the summer as well. And as you say, if they do then the expectations will creep higher.

Although I do keep skipping between thinking, on paper, we have a decent team (not squad), and then thinking it's crap. So I won't say "we're not that far away" yet.
