Kos was a high-class player who was run into the ground by Wenger and as a result grew a little less reliable but always threw his body on the line for us

Meh. He was ok, much better when he had a good partner. Certainly no leader.

A good value signing considering the service we got from him but no legend, the way he’s left ensured he will not be remembered that fondly once the dust has settled.

We got a good price for an ageing player and someone many would’ve let go for free instead.
He was the one who chose not to go on tour, now he’s got to deal with the consequences of that. He’ll feel it more once he’s retired and despite this being the longest and most successful part of his career, he won’t be able to return in any capacity to receive a warm welcome.
