The tests are detecting greatly amplified fragments of RNA that could be an indicator of the current presence and activity of the virus, could be an indicator of past activity, could be an indicator of immunity to the virus, or could be one of 27 other causal indicators that have nothing to do with Covid19. These are NOT tests, they do not test for the presence of the virus and they are entirely unsuited to to measuring the infection rate.
In other words, the claim there are 7,000 cases today is unscientific bullshit. And they know it. The real question is, why are they persisting with this?
