So what?
So what?

I think Tories will get around 290 seats meaning they will be able to effectively form a minority government as even if they don't go into coalition, they will be able to get enough support from lib dems, 2/3 ukip mps and some of the Irish ones to get bills through.
It looks highly unlikely that either Labour or the Conservatives will attain a majority. The only real chance of that is if there's a repeat of 1992 and enough people just vote on the day for the Tories (it wasn't the Sun wot won it and it won't be this time either) because they still have nagging doubts about the alternative. A Labour majority is implausible because any gains in England are cancelled out or worse by losses in Scotland.
Looks like the Tories will win the most seats, but it's possible they won't be able to get the Queen's speech passed. If that happens, Labour will have a go and it's possible that the SNP et al will vote it through regardless of whether they have any input. Labour could write the bill and just dare the SNP to vote it down and let the Tories back in. Maybe remind them of how they sided with the Tories in 1979, ask them how they liked the following decade...
Of course, if Labour form a government, minority or otherwise, despite having fewer seats, the Tories will scream but really, to hell with them. That's how this system works, and they campaigned strongly against changing it. If anti-Tory parties get more votes and seats together than the Tories, that's not an endorsement that the "Great British public" want five more years of Cameron.
Well, so commences another 5 years of wishing them all dead.
